With Authorization from the City Hall, Centurion Group Heavily Invests in Technology and Will Install a School-Factory Complex for Renewable Energy in the Municipality of Maracanaú
On April 5, 2023, the city hall portal of the municipality of Maracanaú, aiming to promote economic and social development, announced the authorization from the mayor, Roberto Pessoa, for the construction of the school-factory complex for renewable energy developed by the Centurion group.
The letter of intent formalizing the Centurion group’s investment in the municipality authorizes the company’s operation and aims to promote innovation in technology for social and economic development.
The Centurion group’s headquarters is located in Rio de Janeiro, but the company intends to expand to other regions of the country and bring access to technology and renewable energy to cities like Maracanaú. The investment of R$ 473 million will go towards the construction of four school-factories in the renewable energy sector: photovoltaic, wind, oceanic, and biomass.

Centurion’s Goal is to Provide Knowledge in Renewable Energy Technology to More Than 6,000 Students Per Year
According to the statement released by the municipality’s city hall, the complex will have 50 classrooms, each with a capacity of 40 students, in addition to 20 technical laboratories, an 8m diving tank/submerged welding, a photovoltaic energy lab field, a wind energy lab field, a composting field and natural gas generation, a convention center for over 2,000 people, a research center, and many other structures that will enable the training of employees, along with the development of the technology sector of the Centurion group.
The company’s goal is to train more than 6,000 students per year and enable them access to renewable energy technology. The training will focus on technical levels of biomass energy, photovoltaic, wind, oceanic, clean mining, underwater welding, and environmental production.
Centurion Will Offer Job Opportunities During the Construction of the Complex
According to the city hall’s statement, during the construction of the Centurion Group’s school-factory for renewable energy, more than 2,000 jobs will be created directly and about 1,200 indirectly.
Upon its completion, the conglomerate destined for training will exceed 25,000 square meters and will generate more than 600 direct jobs.
