Electra Group and Vinci Partners Are Investing Together R$ 2.5 Billion for the Construction of Wind and Solar Power Plants in Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul
The Electra Group and Vinci Partners have closed a partnership to install renewable energy plants in Brazil. The partnership between the companies includes almost 400 MWP solar power plants in the state of Bahia and 120 MW wind power in Rio Grande do Sul. The solar energy project in Bahia is expected to receive an investment of R$ 1.7 billion, with construction starting in the first half of next year. For the wind energy project in Rio Grande do Sul, around R$ 700 million will be invested, with work expected to begin in 2024.

Understand the Reason for Choosing Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul for the Construction of the Plants
Bahia leads in the solar energy sector, especially in the municipalities of Tabocas, Bom Jesus da Lapa, Brejo Velho, Salvador, Juazeiro, Itaguaçu da Bahia, and Guanambi.
According to Aneel and the Bahia Secretary of Economic Development, the solar power landscape in the state accounts for 25% of the solar power plants in the country, making it the national leader in solar generation in Brazil. The plants in Bahia have 316 MW of installed capacity, in addition to recording an average of 22.8 MW, according to information from CCEE.
Rio Grande do Sul, on the other hand, is currently the fifth state in the country with the highest installed capacity for wind power. In total, there are 1,836 MW spread across 80 wind generation plants. This source contributes 27.5% to the generated energy and 19.6% to the installed capacity in Rio Grande do Sul.
