The Energisa Group Is Making a Million-Dollar Investment for the Construction of Several Solar Plants in MG, MT, MS, and RJ, Adding 144 MW of Power.
The National Bank for Economic and Social Development – BNDES approved this week a financing of R$ 700 million for the Energisa Group. The amount will be allocated to an investment in 49 solar plants spread across the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, and Minas Gerais.
New Investment by the Energisa Group Will Benefit 4,500 Businesses
The solar plants added 144 MW of renewable electric power and will be installed on rooftops, land near consumption sites, and facades. The investment aims to reduce annual emissions of 476,000 tons of CO2 over its 25-year lifespan.
The initiative with solar plants will benefit more than 4,500 small and medium-sized enterprises in 28 municipalities. Roberta Godoi, Vice President of Energy Solutions at (re)Energisa, emphasizes that the Energisa Group focuses on being a leader in the energy transition, providing the best clean energy solution for businesses and individuals and developing a more sustainable world.

Rio Grande do Sul accelerates energy transition: State invests in renewable technologies and consolidates decarbonization strategies and pathways to attract billions in new industrial investments.
The solar plants have lower variability in electricity generation throughout the annual cycle compared to projects that use hydro and wind resources, in addition to providing greater security to the electrical system.
Luciana Costa, Director of Infrastructure, Energy Transition, and Climate Change at BNDES, emphasizes that the Energisa Group’s investment will bring distributed solar energy to various companies and provide numerous benefits.
With this project, Energisa positions itself as the only group in the electricity sector to offer a complete solution under the “one stop shop” concept, where everything the customer needs is concentrated in a single platform. Besides the size of the network, the brand is focused on businesses aimed at promoting a low-carbon economy.
Benefits of the Energisa Group’s Investment in Solar Plants
Clean energy is one of the most promising means of combating climate change, rather than relying on energy sources that emit polluting gases. Solar energy is one of the alternatives that provide greater autonomy for residential and business consumers, in addition to helping the sustainability of the environment.
The BNDES and Energisa Group project is an example of how companies can help the energy transition in a profitable and advantageous way.
While generating clean energy and jobs, these solar plants can reduce dependence on fossil fuels and, thus, reduce air pollution and emissions of polluting gases.
The transition to a sustainable source is fascinating and requires significant investments. Everyone can contribute to a cleaner future, whether through individual initiatives or through collaboration in partnerships such as this one between BNDES and the Energisa Group. The expectation is that new projects like this will be present in the future, contributing to form a more sustainable and climate-resilient world.
