Project Took 1,278 Days to Complete and Combines Panoramic Ocean View, Clifftop Pool, and Exclusive Experience That Attracts Guests from Around the World
Would you pay R$ 35,000 to spend just 24 hours inside an airplane? The question seems exaggerated, but the proposal is real — and it has been attracting tourists seeking unique experiences. On the paradisiacal Island of Bali, Indonesia, an old Boeing 737 retired has been transformed into a true luxury mansion suspended high on a cliff, with a privileged view of the turquoise sea.
The information was disclosed by “Balanço Geral”, which presented the construction details and revealed behind-the-scenes of the project conceived by Russian entrepreneur Félix Demin. According to the report, the project was neither simple nor quick. On the contrary: the work took exactly 1,278 days to go from paper to one of the most exclusive accommodations in the world.
Located on Nyang Nyang beach in Bali, the so-called “Private Jet Villa” offers an experience that combines bold architecture, extreme luxury, and cinematic scenery. However, what really draws attention is not just the setting, but the concept: sleeping inside a real airplane, adapted to function as a high-end residence.

From Retired Airplane to Luxury Villa: Behind the Transformation

The mind behind the idea was Félix Demin, a young Russian entrepreneur known for investing in hotels with unique concepts. Before the Boeing 737, he already managed lodgings in the form of transparent bubbles, where guests enjoy landscapes both day and night.
Noticing that his clients were seeking increasingly exclusive experiences, he decided to invest in something even bolder. In 2021, he purchased a retired airplane from an Indonesian airline. From there, he initiated a complex process that required designers, engineers, and authorization from the local government.
First, the team had to dismantle the aircraft to transport it to the top of the cliff. Since access was narrow, the plane was lifted in parts, necessitating careful planning. Additionally, the assembly took months and generated constant concerns about the structural safety.
Only two years later, after overcoming technical and logistical challenges, the airborne mansion was ready.
Luxury in the Heights: Hot Tub in the Cockpit, Cliffside Pool, and Guests Arriving by Helicopter
The experience begins even before check-in. According to Félix, many guests arrive by helicopter, enhancing the feeling of exclusivity.
One of the most impressive spaces is the cockpit, which has been transformed into the master bedroom. The former control cabin has become a hot tub with windows opening to the beach. Meanwhile, the second bedroom offers similar comfort, with a voice control system that activates the air conditioning, adjusts the lighting, and customizes the environment.
The bathroom preserves original elements of the aircraft, including an original door from the plane. As a surprise, when opening one of the exits, visitors find a small suspended net outside, perfect for photos and videos with a panoramic view — a detail that has become a hit on social media.
Furthermore, the deck has been installed over one of the wings, creating an ideal space to feel the breeze and watch the sea. Finally, the pool built on the cliff itself guarantees one of the most stunning sunsets in Bali, according to the entrepreneur himself.
However, all this structure comes at a price. The daily rate is US$ 7,000, equivalent to approximately R$ 35,000 for 24 hours. Therefore, it is truly an experience aimed at a select few.
Still, the proposal reinforces a growing trend in luxury tourism: offering not just accommodation, but memorable experiences.
Would you pay R$ 35,000 to experience this exclusive opportunity or would you rather invest that amount in a complete trip?
