With 150 hp Engine and Four Cylinders, the New Honda CB1000 Hornet 2026 Arrives in Brazil, Reviving the Era of Supernakeds with Aggressive Design, Modern Electronics, and Fireblade Spirit.

The legendary Hornet, one of the most iconic names in Honda’s history, is ready to roar again. The Japanese manufacturer officially confirmed the arrival of the new Honda CB1000 Hornet 2026, a supernaked equipped with a four-cylinder inline engine producing 150 hp, promising to bring back the spirit of motorcycles that marked the golden years of street sportbikes.

The new generation was first presented in Europe during EICMA 2024, the largest motorcycle show in the world, held in Milan. Since then, the model has been drawing attention for combining the classic Hornet DNA — raw power, aggressive design, and pure riding — with modern technologies, enhanced comfort, and an electronic system worthy of much more expensive bikes.

Engine Borrowed from the Fireblade

At the heart of the new Hornet is the 998 cm³ inline four-cylinder engine, directly derived from the CBR1000RR Fireblade, tuned to deliver 150 hp at 10,500 rpm and 10.4 kgfm of torque at 8,250 rpm.
While less extreme than the superbike’s engine, this powertrain has been calibrated to offer linear responses and a more user-friendly behavior for urban use and touring, without losing the sporty temperament that established the lineage.

The six-speed transmission features a bidirectional quickshifter (upshifts and downshifts without using the clutch), and the traction control system HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) operates at three levels, allowing the rider to choose between a more docile ride or completely free, depending on the selected riding mode.

Aggressive Design and Modern Aerodynamics

Visually, the CB1000 Hornet 2026 is a spectacle. The design was inspired by the lines of the “Streetfighter Neo Sports Café” concept, featuring a round LED headlight in an inverted honeycomb shape and a muscular tank, conveying presence and aggression.
The short tail and lateral sporty exhaust enhance the visual of contained power, while the backbone aluminum chassis ensures rigidity and lightness.

The lighting system is fully LED, with integrated turn signals and unique signature DRL, marking an unmistakable visual identity. The 17-inch wheels, fitted with 120/70 tires at the front and 190/55 at the rear, complete the robust and balanced visual package.

Technology and Connectivity

The Hornet 2026 is also one of the most technologically advanced nakeds ever produced by Honda. The 5-inch color TFT display shows riding modes, fuel consumption, temperature, and full connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via Bluetooth.
Additionally, there is cruise control, hill-start assist (HSA), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and adaptive cornering lights — rare features in motorcycles of this category.

The front suspension is a fully adjustable 41 mm Showa SFF-BP inverted setup, while the rear features a Pro-Link monoshock with preload adjustment. The brakes come from Nissin, with dual 310 mm front discs and four-piston radial calipers, and a 256 mm rear disc, ensuring powerful and progressive braking.

Focus on the Balance Between Performance and Comfort

Honda made it clear that the goal of the new CB1000 Hornet is to offer a motorcycle capable of handling daily use without sacrificing excitement on the roads. With a dry weight of 208 kg, balanced distribution, and a seat 820 mm from the ground, the Hornet manages to combine comfortable ergonomics and a sporty riding position.

The 16.5-liter fuel tank ensures reasonable autonomy, considering the average consumption of 18 km/l in mixed cycle, according to preliminary data from Honda Europe.

Arrival in Brazil and Estimated Price

The new Hornet was registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) in August 2025, confirming Honda’s intention to officially bring it to the Brazilian market. The forecast is for the arrival to occur between the second half of 2026 and the beginning of 2027, initially in a single version — the CB1000 Hornet SP.

Although the official price has yet to be disclosed, estimates indicate that it should be in the range of R$ 90,000 to R$ 110,000, positioning the Hornet 2026 below competitors like the Yamaha MT-10 and the Kawasaki Z1000, but with similar performance and a more versatile approach.

With the new CB1000 Hornet 2026, Honda is making a big bet in the premium supernakeds segment, reviving the name that created generations of motorcyclists in the 2000s. Now, the brand combines tradition and modernity in a motorcycle that promises to be as iconic as its predecessors — and which, by all indications, is set to place the Hornet back at the top of the most desired motorcycles in Brazil.
