Chinese company that already has a factory in Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo, will build another one in a city to be defined

The visit of the governor of São Paulo, João Doria and his entourage to China, has already produced a great result. A Huawei, Chinese giant, manufacturer of cell phones, tablets and similar, announced that it will build its second factory in Brazil.
The company already has a factory in Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo, which employs 2 direct workers and 15 indirect workers.

Investments in the new unit, in a location still to be defined, will amount to around US$800 million in the interior of the State of São Paulo and will supply, in addition to the Brazilian domestic market, all of South America.
The announcement was made by Huawei itself, last Friday (09/08), during the visit of the São Paulo delegation of the governor, João Dória, to China.

Present at the announcement in Shanghai were Governor João Doria, Secretary of Finance and Planning, Henrique Meirelles, Secretary of Economic Development, Patrícia Ellen, and Secretary of International Relations, Julio Serson, and on the Chinese side, Steven Shen, Vice President of Huawei Brazil, and Atilio Rulli, Senior Director of Public and Government Relations.

Huawei's investments will not be limited to the new factory, the company also expects to invest an amount still to be defined, in the Technological Research Institute (IPT), between 2020 and 2022, to be used in technology and innovation.
Another planned investment foreseen by the company, in São Paulo, will be in the area of ​​education, in a program led by the Secretary of Education, Rossieli Soares.

“It is a program of innovation, technology and digitization of the public elementary and basic education network” which will have as its goal, by the end of 2022, that state public schools no longer use chalk and blackboards, but computers, tablets, smartphones and cutting-edge technology, this tool would be used both for teachers and for students.

The visit to China by the delegation from São Paulo landed on Monday (05/08), in Beijing and will last until Sunday (11/08), with a schedule of meetings with Chinese businesswomen and institutions also in the provinces of Xian.
