The Official Gazette of the Union published on Tuesday (November 19), the summary of the notice for a new selection process IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources) for the hiring of temporary staff. In total, 75 positions are offered at IBAMA, this is a great opportunity for those looking for temporary positions and professional growth.
List of Positions Offered in the IBAMA Selection Process 2024/2025
The opportunities are for the positions of firefighter, squad leader, and brigade leader, for those who are literate or have a high school education, with salaries ranging from R$ 1,800 to R$ 3,300.
The positions at IBAMA are for four states and the Federal District, namely Bahia, Ceará, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Pernambuco. The application deadlines vary according to the vacancy location. The responsibilities for the positions in the IBAMA selection process include:
Firefighter
This position is responsible for carrying out activities related to integrated fire management, such as prevention, use of fire, monitoring, preparation, and combat against forest fires, being available to work nationally at any time.
Squad Leader
Responsible for commanding the firefighters of the squad in activities, developing and executing the work plans of the squad, and ensuring the maintenance of the brigade’s equipment, materials, and vehicles, being available to work nationally at any time.
Brigade Leader
This position is responsible for carrying out administrative activities related to the brigade, coordinating the command hierarchy of squad leaders and firefighters, and executing the demands forwarded by the brigade supervisor and the coordinator of Prevfogo in the state, being available to work nationally at any time.
How to Apply and Requirements to Participate in the IBAMA Selection Process 2024/2025
In the case of a firefighter, to apply for the positions at IBAMA it is necessary to be literate, between 18 and 59 years of age, with a starting salary of R$ 1,980. For the position of squad leader, the requirement is also literacy, between 18 and 59 years of age, with a starting salary of R$ 2,640.
Finally, for the position of brigade leader, a high school education is required, between 18 and 59 years of age, with a starting salary of R$ 3,300. The duration of the IBAMA selection process contract will be two years, with the possibility of extension for one more year. Applications occur in the following locations and dates:
Barreiras
Applications at the IBAMA Technical Unit in Barreiras – Rua 26 de Maio, No. 400, Center. Between November 21 and 22 from 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM.
Quixeramobim
Applications at the Prevfogo Brigade headquarters in Quixeramobim – AV. Wellington Martins, s/n from 8 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM on November 27 and 28.
Brasília
Prevfogo Headquarters Building – IBAMA Campus, SCEN, Section 2 – L4 North, from 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM, on November 21 and 22.
Corumbá
Pantanal/Prevfogo Brigade Base – Marina Gatass Municipal Park, s/n, from 8 AM to 4 PM on November 20 and 21.
Serra Talhada
Prevfogo Brigade Base – Lauro Ramos Bezerra Experimental Station, of IPA, Fazenda Saco, Rural Area, from 8 AM to 6 PM on November 21 and 22.
