IFB Has 307 New Spots in Free Online and Distance Education Courses in Language Areas. Want to Know How to Participate? Keep Reading.
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Brasília (IFB) published new notices last week offering 307 spots for new students in free in-person courses as well as in distance learning (EAD). According to the notices, the institution’s opportunities are aimed at the IFB São Sebastião Campus and the Estrutural Campus. Each unit has a unique selection notice, with different application periods.
Free Online and EAD Courses at Estrutural Campus
Those interested in competing for the opportunities available at the Estrutural Campus must register from February 27 to March 10. No fee payment is required and applications must be made online by filling out an electronic form. Candidate selection will take place through a Placement Test.
According to IFB’s schedule, the exam is scheduled to take place on March 20, 2023. The test location will be at the Estrutural Campus, located at Área Especial nº 01, quadra 16, Cidade do Automóvel, SCIA, Estrutural, Brasília, Federal District. The open free courses include:

Basic English
This course aims to introduce basic notions of the English Language, using the four main skills so that students can establish minimal communication with a speaker of the language.
Intermediate Spanish
The goal is to train professionals capable of acting in various areas of society, communicating in the Spanish language at an intermediate level, through reading, writing, comprehension, and oral production.
Intermediate Brazilian Sign Language
The aim is to provide learning of Brazilian Sign Language to students, helping them to understand its linguistic aspects, thus seeking an inclusive didactic training that allows students to establish basic communication through sign language with the deaf.
Registrations for Free Online and EAD Courses at São Sebastião Campus
Registrations for the free courses offered at the IFB São Sebastião Campus must be made between February 13 and 24, through another digital form.
According to the notice, for these courses, the filling of the spots will occur in the order of registration. Each course has a defined prerequisite in the notice. In total, 190 spots are being offered for the following courses:
Initial Training in Introduction to Socio-Environmental Project Management
To train people and professionals from various knowledge sectors to identify contemporary environmental issues and in the processes of developing, managing socio-environmental projects and project management.
Initial Training in Brazilian Sign Language
Responsible for providing professionals, specialists, collaborators, and technicians with the learning of Brazilian Sign Language, in a context that respects the linguistic and lexical structure of the language.
Professional Qualification in Urban Horticulture for Women
Responsible for training women in vulnerable situations to have the opportunity to be socially and economically included through organic production in urban gardens.
Professional Qualification in Child Monitoring for Women
Aims to train individuals interested in working professionally as child monitors, as well as providing adequate training to professionals already working in schools, nurseries, and other institutions.
