IFMS Opened 360 Free Vacancies for Technical Courses with Evening Classes in Several Cities of Mato Grosso do Sul, with Registration Until December 1, 2025, and Selection by Electronic Lottery

The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul is offering 360 free vacancies for technical courses aimed at young people and adults, with registrations open until December 1, 2025, free of charge, and classes scheduled for the first semester of 2026. The offer is aimed at those who still need to complete high school and those who have already finished and are looking for in-person evening technical training.

The distribution of vacancies covers seven municipalities in the state and two admission modalities: integrated courses with high school in Youth and Adult Education (EJA EPT), for those over 18 who have completed or are completing elementary school, and subsequent technical courses, for those who have already completed high school. All courses will be in-person and offered in the evening, which increases access for those who work during the day.

How the 360 Free Vacancies for Technical Courses Are Distributed

The 360 free vacancies for technical courses at IFMS are divided into two main groups. The first, with 240 vacancies, is for the EJA EPT modality, which integrates high school and technical training in the same course, always in the evening.

The second, with 120 vacancies, is for the subsequent modality, aimed exclusively at those who have already completed high school and are seeking only the technical course.

This organization allows IFMS to cater to different profiles of students. Those who do not yet have a complete high school education will be able to finish their studies and graduate with a technical diploma, while those who have already completed high school can enter directly into a professional technical qualification scheduled to begin in February 2026.

EJA EPT Vacancies: 240 Opportunities in Seven Cities

In the EJA EPT integrated modality, IFMS has made available 240 in-person vacancies in the evening distributed across seven units. The offers are as follows: Aquidauana with 40 vacancies for Administration; Campo Grande with 40 vacancies for Administration; Corumbá with 40 vacancies for Computer Maintenance and Support; Dourados with 40 vacancies for Administration; Naviraí with 40 vacancies for Computer Maintenance and Support; Nova Andradina with 40 vacancies for Agriculture.

This format is strategic because it serves adults who did not complete high school at the regular age and now need a training that fits into their work routine.

Since classes are at night and there is no registration fee, the program reduces access barriers and enhances student retention.

Subsequent Technical Courses Vacancies: 120 Opportunities

For those who have already completed high school, IFMS has reserved 120 vacancies for subsequent technical courses, also in-person and evening. There are confirmed offers in three cities: Dourados with 40 vacancies for the technical course in Marketing; Naviraí with 40 vacancies for the technical course in Agriculture; Ponta Porã with 40 vacancies for the technical course in Agriculture.

This block of vacancies is important because it serves young people and adults who have completed basic education but have not yet managed to enter the job market in a qualified manner. By offering evening courses, IFMS enables students to work during the day and qualify at night, at no cost and with a defined start date.

Registrations and Access to Announcements

REGISTER HERE

Registrations for the 360 free vacancies for technical courses at IFMS began on November 3 and will remain open until December 1, 2025, exclusively online, with no registration fee.

The complete announcements and the registration form are available on the IFMS website, where candidates can also find guidance on documentation, criteria, and rules for the electronic lottery.

It is essential for interested parties to carefully read the announcement corresponding to the desired modality, as EJA EPT and subsequent have different audiences and requirements.

Those who are finishing elementary school and are 18 years old can compete for the EJA EPT. Those who have already completed high school must register for the subsequent modality. In both cases, classes will be in-person and held at night.

Schedule of the Selection Process

The schedule for IFMS regarding these 360 free vacancies for technical courses follows a defined sequence. Registrations go from November 3 to December 1, 2025. The preliminary list announcement is scheduled for December 4.

Between December 5 and 9, there will be a period for changes in course or type of vacancy. The ratification of registrations and publication of numbers for the lottery will be on December 15.

The electronic lottery for the vacancies is scheduled for December 17, with results announced on December 19. After that, the period for appeals will be from December 22, 2025, to January 7, 2026. The publication of the final result and the first call is scheduled for January 14.

The enrollments for the first call will take place from January 16 to 23, and classes are expected to start in February 2026. Those who register on time need to follow all these dates to avoid losing their spot.

Why Are the Courses Evening?

The choice of IFMS for evening courses for these 360 free vacancies for technical courses mainly serves young and adult workers.

In many municipalities of Mato Grosso do Sul, most job opportunities occur during business hours, which prevents this audience from studying in the morning or afternoon. By concentrating classes in the evening, the institute increases participation from those who are returning to their studies.

Furthermore, the courses are in-person and offered in different cities, which reduces long commutes and allows technical training to happen close to the local economic reality, with offers in Administration, Computer Maintenance and Support, Agriculture, and Marketing, areas that align with the productive profile of the state.

The 360 free vacancies for technical courses opened by IFMS for the start in 2026 represent a direct opportunity for young people and adults who need to study at night and cannot afford registration fees.

It is a process with a complete schedule, selection by lottery, and modalities that address both those who still need to complete high school and those who have already finished.

To better understand the reach of this offer, it’s worth listening to those on the front lines. Do you know someone who works all day and can only take a technical course at night? Share in the comments which course from this list makes the most sense for your city.
