National training by Fiocruz focuses on mental health, online betting, and action in the SUS with 20 thousand spots, free access, distance learning, and a certificate for those who achieve the minimum performance required by the institution within the expected deadline for completion.
Fiocruz Brasília has 20 thousand spots open for the free course “Betting Games: Care in the Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS)”, offered in a distance learning format with 45 hours of workload.
The training was launched in partnership with the Ministry of Health, has national reach, and accepts registrations until May 5, 2026, unless the spots are filled earlier.
Although the prioritized audience consists of workers from the Psychosocial Care Network, especially from Psychosocial Care Centers and Primary Health Care, the offer announced by Fiocruz does not indicate a requirement for formal prerequisites for registration.

In another front announced by the federal government, the care line for people with problems related to betting games began to include instruments such as telecare, self-testing, and a self-exclusion platform.
In this context, the course serves as a qualification step for those working at the frontline of care and need to recognize risk signs, welcome users, and organize network responses.
What topics will be studied in the four modules
The program content has been organized into four modules that cover everything from understanding the phenomenon of betting in contemporary times to psychosocial intervention strategies.
The structure announced by Fiocruz includes an approach to the historical and current context of games, identification of needs related to the topic, preventive actions, and articulation between services and sectors.
In the first axis, the proposal is to discuss betting games as a contemporary phenomenon, observing their social developments and possible reflections on mental health.
Next, the course advances to the identification and assessment of individuals with needs related to this type of practice, a central step for care in network services.
The following modules focus the debate on psychosocial prevention and intervention strategies, as well as network work and intra- and intersectoral articulation.
Fiocruz reported that at the end of each module, participants will find activities that seek to bring the content closer to the daily reality of services, favoring the practical application of learning.
Free certificate requires minimum performance
Those who complete the training with a minimum score of 60% will be able to issue a free digital certificate in the logged-in area of the platform, according to the course page description displayed in the official results of Fiocruz Brasília.
This percentage serves as a criterion for certification and is linked to the student’s performance in the evaluative activities planned throughout the training.
The institution also informed, in the launch news, that the certificate is automatically issued by the platform for graduates.
Since the course is entirely online, the offer reaches participants from all over Brazil and eliminates the need for travel, which tends to facilitate the participation of professionals and other interested parties outside major centers.
The period of offer announced by Fiocruz runs from January 20, 2026, to June 2, 2026, the deadline provided for completing the training.
