Take a free course at the Federal University: UFPR calls 200 candidates for intensive preparation for master’s and doctoral programs.
Registration will take place between December and January, according to specific notices, and the courses are completely free, reinforcing the role of IFMS in the democratization of higher education and the qualification of education professionals.
Presential Specialization in Teaching Science and Mathematics
Among the available options for free post-graduation, the presential specialization in Teaching Science and Mathematics stands out, offered exclusively at the Campo Grande Campus.
The course has 50 places and is aimed at graduates in Sciences, Mathematics, or Pedagogy.
In addition, IFMS prioritizes licensed teachers already working in basic education, strengthening the continued training of teachers who are in the classroom.
This strategy aims to qualify pedagogical practices and contribute directly to the improvement of public education.
The total workload is 360 hours, plus 40 hours dedicated to the Course Conclusion Work (TCC).
The estimated duration ranges from 18 to 24 months, with in-person classes held twice a week in the evening.
The selection process will consist of document analysis and electronic drawing, with registrations opening from December 23.
IFMS Offers Specialization in Teaching at Three Campuses
Another option for presential specialization is the course in Teaching for Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education, which will be offered at the campuses of Campo Grande, Nova Andradina, and Ponta Porã.
In total, there are 120 places, with 40 allocated to each unit.
The course welcomes graduates from any field of knowledge, which broadens the target audience and enhances the pedagogical training of professionals wishing to work in technical and technological education.
The notice reserves half of the general admission slots for IFMS staff, according to established rules.
The training lasts between 12 and 18 months, with an academic workload of 360 hours and 60 hours dedicated to the TCC.
The selection will occur exclusively through electronic drawing, with registrations expected to open from January 5.
Selection by Lattes Curriculum in Other Campuses
The same specialization in teaching will also be offered at the campuses of Corumbá, Naviraí, and Três Lagoas, likewise with 120 places, distributed proportionally among the units.
In this case, the selection process will be different.
Candidates will undergo an analysis of the Lattes Curriculum, considering criteria such as academic background, professional experience, and scientific production.
This methodology values the academic and professional trajectory of applicants.
Classes will be in person and are expected to start in March 2026.
Thus, the workload and duration follow the same pattern as the other offers in the teaching specialization.
Reservation of Places and Inclusion Policies
In all courses of free post-graduation offered by IFMS, there are affirmative action policies.
Thus, the responsible committee will submit the PPI candidates called for the heteroidentification procedure, while the institution will require proof of the other conditions at the time of enrollment.
These measures aim to ensure greater equity in access to presential specialization.
Where to Consult Notices and Schedules
The complete rules, detailed schedules, and registration forms are available in the notices published on IFMS Selection Central.
Interested parties should closely follow the dates and criteria of each selection process, as they vary according to the chosen course and campus.
With this initiative, IFMS reaffirms its commitment to quality training, strengthening teaching, and expanding access to quality public education in Mato Grosso do Sul.
