The Federal Institute of Southern Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS) is open for enrollment in three free online courses in the tourism area, offering a total of 590 spots. The initiative targets residents of Minas Gerais, aiming to promote professional training in a strategic sector for regional development. The information was disclosed by the Varginha Digital portal on March 25 and confirmed by official notices from the institution.

Enrollment is open until April 7, 2025, and the selection process will be conducted by electronic lottery, allowing equal access to spots.

According to IFSULDEMINAS, all courses are conducted in Distance Education (EAD) mode, with specific workload and schedule that can be checked in the notices available on the institute’s website.

Who Can Participate and How to Enroll

The courses are open to individuals with:

Minimum age: 16 years
Minimum education: Completed Elementary School
Residence: Any municipality in Minas Gerais
Required documentation: Valid CPF and identification document

ENROLL IN THE IFSULMINAS COURSES

Registrations must be made exclusively online through the Unified System of Public Administration (SUAP) of IFSULDEMINAS. The Varginha Digital portal emphasizes that candidates should be aware of deadlines and correctly follow all the steps indicated in the notices.

Selection Will Be by Electronic Lottery

To ensure equality, the institute will adopt the selection by electronic lottery, as provided in the notices. This means that all registrants will have the same chances of obtaining a spot, regardless of the order of registration. The date of the lottery will be defined and published after the enrollment period ends.

The start of classes varies according to the course, but all will have groups formed in the first semester of 2025. The activities will be conducted by teachers from IFSULDEMINAS, supported by digital materials and interactive forums.

Certification Valid Throughout Brazil

Participants who complete the courses with minimum performance will receive a free completion certificate recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC). According to the institution, this certificate can be an important differentiator in a resume, especially for those working in customer service, hospitality, travel agencies, and events.
