Environmental action unites community and award-winning surfer in awareness event
In celebration of World Environment Day, Ocyan, a renowned company in the oil and gas sector, organized a major cleaning action at Lagoa de Imboassica, located in Macaé. The event, in addition to promoting environmental awareness, aimed to engage company employees and their families in nature preservation.
Community Action and Volunteering
With the engagement of 39 volunteers, including employees and their loved ones, the initiative resulted in the collection of an incredible 176,5 kg of garbage, an achievement that surpasses the previous year's mark by 112,6%. The presence of Macanese surfer and winner of the 2023 Brazilian Big Wave Ocyan Award, Guilherme Hillel, brought even more prominence to the action and reinforced the need for society's involvement in the preservation of the environment.

Lagoon Cleaning and Waste Collection
The event included an awareness-raising lecture that highlighted the importance of each citizen's role in maintaining environmental balance. Subsequently, the collection of solid waste was carried out, which exceeded expectations, with the removal of various items, such as tires, plastics of different types, shoes, styrofoam, rubber, cardboard, crockery and even a fan part.
