New Covered Van from Librelato Will Have Options Like EBS Brake and Load and Tire Temperature Sensors, Besides Suspension with 4 Axles. Model Features a Photovoltaic Panel for Solar Energy Harvesting.
Librelato, one of the largest implementers in Brazil, is at the Fenatran 2022, which this year takes place from November 7 to 11 at São Paulo Expo, presenting the new Multi-Purpose Covered Van from the Evolut Series. More versatile, efficient, and stable, this implement stands out for offering practicality and agility in transportation operations and the possibility for the carrier or fleet owner to carry different types of loads, from beverages to palletized freight, all in a single implement. The vehicle is equipped with photovoltaic panels for generating solar energy.
The Multi-Purpose Covered Van will be offered, among other versions, in a configuration with 4 axles, which allows transporting up to 38,500 kilograms of net load, representing 4,500 kilograms more compared to the version with three spaced axles.
According to Marco Camargo, operations director, “the Multi-Purpose Covered Van from the EVOLUT series brings together, in a single implement model, the versatility for transporting different types of cargo, which previously required distinct configurations of Covered Vans. One of those models was applied exclusively for transporting beverages, with a metal structure known as a central spine or delta wing, ensuring the load is secured. The other model was dedicated to loading palletized goods, secured to the floor through tie-down straps,” he explains.

Beyond Photovoltaic Panels and Solar Energy: Van Features a System That Ensures More Safety and Stability in Transport
The innovations presented in the Multi-Purpose Covered Van ensure more efficiency and safety during loading/unloading operations and transport. The highlight is the exclusive Amarra Fácil System, which enables securing any type of load, from packaged beverages to boxes or other palletized goods.
This system consists of nets suspended by elastic ropes fixed to the ceiling of the implement. The solution has ideal dimensions to cover the cargo from one side to the other of the implement, also considering the width of the pallet.
Each net secures two pallets placed side by side, without the need to throw straps over the load or for the operator to climb onto the implement. The entire operation can be performed from ground level. Being a flexible net system, it also has the advantage of not damaging the cargo.
Another differentiator is the pneumatic tensioning system, which ensures safety and agility during operation and transport. This system consists of a ratchet tensioner for each tie-down point and ensures automatic adjustment and tightening, even while the vehicle is in motion. With this, regardless of the bumps that may occur during transit, there will be no need to make stops for adjustments, as the system will keep the load stable and secure.
Fleetsense Technology
Librelato also presents Fleetsense technology, designed to make fleet management more practical and integrated. Through this solution, it is possible to operate a true operational control center that provides access to real-time information, offers data integration, and consequently increases productivity for carriers and fleet owners.
The solution was developed in synergy with Sigaway, a startup incubated by Librelato, aiming to create solutions tailored for each application, but with a focus on the specific needs for control and safety of highway implements.
This technology is available in three packages in the vehicle, according to the customer’s needs: Fleetsense ABS; Fleetsense EBS Plus; and Fleetsense EBS Pro, all accessible via mobile app or web.
For the Covered Van, there will be monitoring technology via sensors centralized in a single control platform. Some examples include door monitoring sensors that allow tracking the times and locations of openings, and load box temperature sensors that make transporting perishable products increasingly reliable.
Additionally, there are pressure monitoring sensors in the implement’s pneumatic line, aimed at identifying any possible anomalies in the system.
Photovoltaic Panels for Solar Energy Harvesting in the Vehicle
To complement this entire technological package, the Multi-Purpose Covered Van features photovoltaic panels for generating and storing electrical energy. This energy can be utilized in various ways, from powering the Fleetsense system of the implement without the attached tractor unit, to supplying energy for recharging the truck’s battery.
“With this, we are delivering solutions that bring more safety and reliability to carriers and shippers, in addition to greater efficiency in operations,” concludes Marco Camargo.
