Petrobras Connections for Innovation Program
The selected participants will have the opportunity to develop solutions and business models while accessing a significant portion of the market: Petrobras’s demand, with the potential to scale in the national and international industry. To this end, the company will invest in projects of up to R$ 500 thousand and up to R$ 1.5 million, depending on the challenge category (soft or deep tech).
Interested parties will be able to clear doubts directly with Petrobras specialists during the live sessions that will be held in early July. The Startup Module is part of Petrobras’s goal to stimulate the generation of innovations with high potential impact and efficiency gains in areas of sector interest. “We have created an important innovation ecosystem capable of developing solutions for Petrobras’s activities, supporting the execution of the strategic plan and focusing on adding value to the company. We have accomplished a lot in recent years, but we want to further develop our ecosystem, providing more agility for the company, safety for operations, and competitiveness for business,” emphasizes the Director of Digital Transformation and Innovation, Nicolás Simone.
“Through this partnership, Sebrae enables small businesses to effectively enter Petrobras’s open innovation process, developing technologies and innovations that will positively impact the oil and gas production chain. During the execution of the R&D projects, Sebrae will walk alongside the startups, promoting support actions in management and improving the competitiveness of these selected companies in the calls,” explains the Technical Director of Sebrae, Carlos Melles.
During and after the selection process, entrepreneurs will have the support of Petrobras and Sebrae so that successfully completed projects have the opportunity for implementation of the pilot or pioneering service at Petrobras.
As another way to evaluate innovative solutions for the company’s business, two more calls are launched today. The Test Solutions Module aims to select technologies in validation or validated in the market to be tested in a representative environment. The new cycle of the Ignition Module, in partnership with PUC-Rio, aims to form teams of university students for the creation of functional prototypes.
Petrobras is also launching the Challenges Panel, where the company will periodically disclose technological demands to map the market. These initiatives bring Petrobras closer to the open innovation ecosystem and boost the relationship with startups, big techs, and other players.
