CEARAN STARTUP DEVELOPS TECHNOLOGY THAT REDUCES THE TEMPERATURE ON THE SURFACE OF MODULES.

The last summer brought record heat that raised an alert in the power sector. Extreme temperatures and prolonged heatwaves not only decrease the efficiency of photovoltaic panels but can also reduce their lifespan. This scenario is concerning, as forecasts indicate that these extreme weather conditions are likely to repeat in 2024 and subsequent years.

Impact of Heat on Photovoltaic Modules

Photovoltaic panels, largely composed of semiconductors, suffer from high temperatures, which affect energy production performance, resulting in a significant reduction in generated power. This occurs because excessive heat alters the dynamics of the materials, compromising the efficiency of the modules.

Innovative Solutions to Mitigate Climate Effects

The market is already seeking solutions to avoid damages and losses in investments with installed systems and new solar plant projects. In this context, the figure of Ismael Mendes emerges, a 43-year-old inventor and researcher from Ceará. Ismael developed and tested for three years an innovative technology that promises to revolutionize the solar market.

The Journey of Innovation

Ismael’s journey began in a small 30m² lab in Fortaleza, Ceará. Over time, he expanded his workspace to 250m² and is now preparing for a new 1,500m² factory in the Pecém port complex. With the partnership of an economist associate, founder of an automotive industry, Ismael refined his business strategy and transformed his startup, QNQ Neoindústria, into an innovative and scalable project, receiving international awards.

☀️The inventor of the product demonstrates below how it works, check it out:

The Revolutionary Technology: TOPSUN® I and II

Ismael’s innovation culminated in the creation of TOPSUN® I, the world’s first technology capable of lowering the temperature of photovoltaic modules by up to 8ºC, increasing energy efficiency by 21.7% over 14 days, using only 50 mL of water per module. This technology reduces water waste by 100 times compared to the normal cleaning procedure. Its successor, TOPSUN® II, extends the thermal repellency effect for up to 90 days.

International Recognition and Market Impact

QNQ Neoindústria presented its innovations at the “Future Innovation Summit” in Dubai, where TOPSUN® I and II were awarded as the “best sustainability product of the year 2023”. The startup also participated in the XIX Ibero-American Regional Meeting, where it presented the efficiency of the nanotecnological cleaning of photovoltaic panels, verified by tests conducted by the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Piauí.

Efficiency and Sustainability: The Future of Solar Plants

The technology developed by Ismael offers two main applications: cleaning the surface of the panel with a pre-film of nano crystals, and applying a protective film made of micro crystals and nano wires, which can last up to 3 months. Compared to traditional cleaning, the solution saves 99% water per module and prevents detergent residue.

Brazilian Solution for a Global Challenge

With forecasts of extreme heat for the upcoming summer, finding solutions to protect and enhance the performance of photovoltaic cells is crucial. While the largest manufacturers of solar panels seek more resilient modules, Ismael Mendes’s innovation from Ceará stands out as a unique and efficient solution – a true example of Brazil’s potential to face global challenges with creativity and technology.

Cadê o presidente do Brasil gente?

Kkkk. Realmente este é um site muuuuito confiavel!
