Under the social pillar of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy, Log-In Logistics Intermodal has just launched its Diversity Program with a new feature: a partnership with the social startup Instituto Primeira Geração (IPGer), which helps higher education graduates enter the job market.
“Many people cannot pursue their profession because they lack the means to secure their first job compatible with their education and to build a successful career over their lifetime. Therefore, we are proud to open our doors to facilitate access to the job market and contribute to the careers of these professionals as partners in this mission by offering graduate internship positions for these young people with a real prospect of hiring. We are very excited to support the development of skills and act as mentors during the program. We believe this will be just the beginning of a successful journey,” adds Andrea Simões, Director of People and Management at Log-In Logistics Intermodal.

Log-In Logistics Intermodal Supports Diversity
Log-In’s Diversity Program will promote actions to create a favorable environment for minorities and raise awareness on the topic, fostering inclusion and empathy to understand the needs of others.
The company’s Diversity Week will be held from January 25 to 29 and will feature lectures from prominent figures such as Luana Genot and Mari Torquato, activists fighting against issues like racism and disability.
Other areas in which Log-In is working include increasing female leadership, especially in the maritime team, and hiring people with disabilities (PwDs), which anticipates a professional development plan and not just compliance with mandatory quotas.
“This is a collective construction effort. We want to leave a legacy by creating foundational programs to train people and bring in different individuals to achieve a more equitable and diverse corporate environment. We know we have a long way to go, but we are open to new perspectives and maintain an inclusive outlook,” emphasized Andréa.
