INSS payment calendar for April is set and follows a scheduled timeline by income bracket and final benefit number, with deposits starting at the end of the month and extending into May, including additional amounts for some beneficiaries.
The National Institute of Social Security starts on April 24 the payment of benefits related to the April 2026 period.
The official schedule goes until May 8 and maintains the traditional division: first, beneficiaries earning up to a minimum wage receive; then, those with income above this amount.
The exact date depends on the final number of the benefit, not considering the verification digit that appears after the dash.

Who receives first in April
In the bracket of up to a minimum wage, deposits start with benefits ending in 1, on April 24, and continue on April 27, 28, 29, and 30 for those ending in 2, 3, 4, and 5.
After the turn of the month, the calendar continues on May 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 for those ending in 6, 7, 8, 9, and 0.
This scaling has been maintained in the annual table published by the INSS for 2026.
Among beneficiaries receiving above a minimum wage, payment starts on May 4, when those ending in 1 and 6 receive.
Next, those ending in 2 and 7 receive on May 5; 3 and 8, on May 6; 4 and 9, on May 7; finally, 5 and 0 have the credit scheduled for May 8.
The model repeats the logic adopted by the institute throughout the year, with releases in groups to distribute payments over business days.
How to check the correct date of the INSS benefit
To know the exact day of the credit, the beneficiary needs to look at the penultimate number of the benefit, that is, the digit immediately before the hyphen.
This is the number used by the INSS in organizing the calendar, both for those receiving up to a minimum wage and for those in the higher income bracket.
The guidance appears on the official government pages and serves to avoid errors in consultation, especially among beneficiaries who only observe the last complete digit of the card.
In practice, this means that two beneficiaries may have numbers ending similarly and still fall on different dates if the verification digit is confused with the valid end for the calendar.
Therefore, the payment statement available on Meu INSS remains the safest reference to confirm the day of the deposit, the released amount, and the banking institution responsible for the credit.
BPC follows the same calendar as the INSS
Although the Continuous Cash Benefit has an assistive nature and not a social security one, the payment usually follows the operational schedule of the INSS.
In the consultation routine, this means that many BPC beneficiaries observe the same table used for other benefits administered by the institute, following the final number of the NB.
Still, the individual check in the statement remains the safest way to avoid doubt about the exact date of the credit.
The organization by income brackets and by final benefit number also helps to reduce simultaneous pressure on service channels and on the banking network in the first days of payment.
This pattern appears recurrently in the institute’s annual tables and has been maintained in the 2026 calendar, made available by the federal government back in December 2025.
How to check payment through Meu INSS and phone 135
The beneficiary does not need to leave home to confirm the date or check the released amount.
The government informs that this verification can be done through Meu INSS, available in web version and app, in addition to the telephone center 135.
In the case of the payment statement, the service shows the month’s period, the paying bank, and the details of any discounts or increases applied to the benefit.
The 135 center remains an alternative for those who cannot access the digital account, especially in situations of system instability or difficulty with the gov.br login.
On the official government channels, the guidance is to use the statement whenever there is doubt about the date, net amount, and identification of the benefit, as the document gathers the information considered valid for verifying the monthly payment.
13th salary of the INSS also enters the April calendar
In addition to the regular benefit, this year’s calendar coincides with the anticipation of the 13th salary for retirees, pensioners, and other beneficiaries entitled to the annual bonus.
According to the Ministry of Social Security, the first installment will be paid precisely between April 24 and May 8, along with the current month’s payroll, while the second half is scheduled for the period between May 25 and June 8.
Not all benefits are included in this anticipation.
According to the government, those entitled to the annual bonus, among other groups, include those who received retirement, survivor pension, temporary disability assistance, accident assistance, maternity salary, or prison assistance in 2026.
The measure injects additional resources into the economy while increasing the amount deposited for some beneficiaries already in the payroll starting on April 24.
For those who follow the calendar only when payment approaches, the main guidance remains to cross-check three pieces of information before the expected date: the income bracket of the benefit, the penultimate number of the NB, and the updated statement on Meu INSS.
With this, the beneficiary reduces the risk of checking the wrong day, avoids unnecessary trips, and can verify in advance if the regular credit and, when entitled, the 13th installment will be deposited in the same window provided by the official calendar.
