The Latin America Institute of Business (Laiob) announced this Tuesday (5) that it is open for applications for a selection process that promises to offer scholarships in various areas at the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE Executive Education). The program will be short-term and will take place in person in the city of Lisbon, Portugal.

The ISCTE is a public institution based in Portugal, offering graduate and research programs to interested students.

With the scholarships, students can access training in technology, business, architecture, sociology, public policies, and social sciences. Although it is a short-term program, all classes will take place in person in Lisbon, and interested students will have the opportunity to take a course in technology with a scholarship. See How to Register for the Scholarship Selection Process for Those Who Dream of Studying in Portugal

Generally, all selections by the Latin America Institute of Business (Laiob) are aimed at universities in the United States, but this time it was decided that it was time to also help those who wish to study in Portugal, even if only for a short period.

To secure a spot in the selection process, there are some prerequisites, such as: being over 18 years old and being enrolled in or having completed higher education. Interested applicants can register only until 11:59 PM on April 17, 2022. All registrations must be made only through the official Laiob website, at this link.

In addition to the registrations, candidates can also follow all stages of the selection process and get their questions answered.

How Will the Course Be Offered?

The selection of students will happen in a two-step process. All participants who are awarded scholarships will board in mid-September 2022 for the city of Lisbon, Portugal. Those selected will be entitled to the following benefits:

• Afternoon training course, with 4 hours of class per day;
• Soft Skills classes – a term used by Human Resources professionals to define various behavioral skills that are considered difficult to evaluate – in the morning, with 4 hours of class per day;
• Technical visits to local companies;
• Complete breakfast throughout the student’s stay in Portugal (for the duration of the program);
• Lunch in the cafeterias of the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (only on course days);
• Double accommodation, where the student can choose between a hotel and/or dormitory of the educational institution, for a period of 12 nights;
• Entitlement to a graduation dinner, with the delivery of course completion certificates.
