The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) announces an extra class for its free online (E-Learning) English course, starting in March. This is a valuable opportunity for people from all over Brazil who wish to learn a new language from the comfort of their homes, at no cost and with the flexibility of distance learning.

With a workload of 30 hours, the free online (E-Learning) course has been carefully structured to cover essential and practical topics, such as personal identification, location in time and space, and everyday vocabulary, providing students with a solid foundation for communication in English. In addition to video lessons and teaching materials, the language course offers interactive activities, discussion forums, and exercises, ensuring a dynamic and effective learning experience.

After completing this introductory module, participants can continue their studies through other sequential courses available on the same platform, further deepening their knowledge and language skills progressively.

Requirements

The language course from the Federal Institute (IFRS) is completely free and online (E-Learning), accessible to people from all over Brazil who meet the basic requirements for attending the classes. To participate, it is necessary to have a good understanding of reading and listening in Portuguese, as well as a computer with audio and video capabilities and a PDF file reader.

Enrollment for the extra class in March is open and can be done through the link (click here), until all spots are filled. Students who complete the course by July 31, 2025, and achieve good performance in activities and assessments will receive a free completion certificate recognized by the Federal Institute-IFRS.
