Structured as a lato sensu postgraduate course, the specialization will last a total of 24 months, a period that includes both the fulfillment of subjects and the development of the Final Course Paper.
Within this period, six months are specifically reserved for the development of the thesis and for the completion of the elective components foreseen in the curricular matrix.
The pedagogical proposal was designed to strengthen teaching performance in basic education by articulating theoretical foundations, pedagogical practices, and academic production.
According to institutional information, the course does not require payment of tuition, enrollment fees, or any amount related to the selection process.
Organization of the 500-Hour Workload
The curricular matrix of the course is organized into three large blocks, distributed to ensure a balance between theoretical training, academic practice, and thematic deepening.
The mandatory curricular components account for the majority of the workload, totaling 360 hours throughout the course.
Additionally, the Final Course Paper corresponds to 80 hours, allocated for the preparation and presentation of the final project.
The elective components, which are not mandatory, total 60 hours, allowing students to delve into topics of specific interest.
Together, these stages complete the 500 hours announced in the public call.
Evening Classes and Location of the Campinas Campus
The in-person activities will take place at the Campinas Campus, located at Rua Heitor Lacerda Guedes, number 1000, in the Cidade Satélite Íris neighborhood, in Campinas, in the interior of São Paulo.
