Federal Institute Opens Applications for Free Online Course in Biofuels Technology for 2025.

The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goiás (IFG) has just launched the announcement for the selection process of the Free Online Undergraduate Course in Biofuels Technology, set to start in the first semester of 2025. This offer is part of IFG’s commitment to continuous education and professional training in strategic areas for sustainable development. There will be 180 spots offered across five campuses, and applications can be submitted online until October 17, 2024.

Objective of the Free Online Course and Workload

The online course in biofuels aims to prepare professionals to work in the biofuels sector, focusing on sustainable technologies and innovation. The training will be conducted in the Distance Learning format, with mandatory in-person meetings at the selected campuses. The total workload is 2,400 hours, divided between distance and in-person activities, including practical classes, discussion forums, seminars, and periodic assessments.

Available Spots and Locations Offered by the Federal Institute

The 180 spots are distributed among five campuses:

  • Anápolis: 36 spots
  • Goiânia: 36 spots
  • Planaltina: 36 spots
  • Itaberaí: 36 spots
  • Niquelândia: 36 spots

This geographical distribution facilitates access for students from different regions of Goiás to the online biofuels course, providing quality technical training close to their homes.

Selection Process

The IFG reserves 50% of the spots for candidates from public schools, in accordance with the Quota Law (Law No. 12,711/2012). Additionally, the spots are segmented for black, brown, indigenous, quilombola candidates, and individuals with disabilities. Candidate selection will be based on performance in the National High School Examination (ENEM), considering scores obtained between 2013 and 2023.

Requirements to Participate in the Online Biofuels Course

To participate in the selection process, candidates must have completed high school or be in their final year, with the obligation to present a completion certificate at the time of enrollment. It is also necessary to have internet access and a computer to follow the course activities in the distance format.

Selection Process Timeline

  • Applications: September 16 to October 17, 2024
  • Document Upload: until October 18, 2024
  • Publication of the Preliminary List of Accepted Applications: October 19, 2024

Don’t miss this opportunity for qualification in a strategic area with high demand in the market.
