Healthcare professionals interested in enhancing their qualifications can already participate in the new selection by the Federal Institute for free courses of Formatec-SUS. The initiative was launched by the Salvador campus of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Bahia (IFBA), in partnership with the Ministry of Health.
The proposal is to offer specialized training focused on the needs of the Unified Health System. In total, there are 200 openings, distributed between two training courses in the distance learning modality.
The registrations for the selection must be made exclusively online, through an electronic form, between March 6 and 20.

Free Courses of the Federal Institute Will Have Online Classes
The free courses of Formatec-SUS will be conducted entirely in the Distance Learning (EaD) modality.
Participants will have access to content through the Moodle Virtual Learning Environment of the Federal Institute. The platform will allow them to follow classes and activities remotely.
The schedule anticipates the beginning of classes in April, with an expected end in August.
The preliminary result of the selection is expected to be announced on March 31.
Federal Institute Provides 200 Openings in Two Courses
The new selection by the Federal Institute includes two training courses aimed at professionals working in the field of radiology and imaging diagnosis.
The first course is “Training in Radiological Techniques: Radiological Protection in the SUS”, which offers 100 openings. The training is aimed at professionals with technical or technological training in radiology.
The second course is “Training in Radiological Techniques: Mammography Guidelines for Serving Transgender People in the Unified Health System (SUS)”, also with 100 openings.
In this case, in addition to technicians and technologists in radiology, other healthcare professionals working in mammography services can participate in the selection for free courses.
IFBA Selection Includes Openings with Affirmative Actions
Within the selection for free courses, the Federal Institute will also ensure the reservation of openings according to the affirmative action policies set forth by Brazilian legislation.
Thus, part of the opportunities will be allocated to black or brown people, indigenous peoples, quilombolas, and people with disabilities (PWD).
This measure aims to expand access to professional training and promote greater inclusion in the public health sector.
