Government of Minas Gerais Will Allocate R$ 100 Million for Works on Eight Roads in the Region and It Is Expected That Approximately 3,600 Jobs Will Be Created by 2022
Good news for Minas Gerais! R$ 100 million will be allocated for the execution of works on eight roads in several cities across the state. The investment is expected to generate 3,600 jobs in the infrastructure projects, according to an announcement made by the governor of MG, Romeu Zema, yesterday (08/25).

According to the governor of Minas Gerais, the works are very important for each region where they will be carried out, which includes the mining cities of Sete Lagoas, Uberlândia, Poços de Caldas, among others.

The funds come from the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and the Development Company of Minas Gerais (Codemge) and the works will be carried out by the Department of Buildings and Roads of Minas Gerais (DER-MG).
There is no forecast for the completion of the works yet, however, according to Zema, because they are smaller in scale, they may be completed during his term, which will extend until 2022.
The manager also stated that it is satisfactory to have an agenda that addresses the future, job creation, and investments in Minas Gerais, highlighting the priority of saving lives due to the pandemic, but without neglecting the issue of the state’s development.

- Connection of BR-040 with MG-353, in Goianá, in the Zona da Mata;
- Paving of MG-135, between Antônio Carlos and Bias Fortes, also in the Zona da Mata.
Job Expectations in the Region
With the million-dollar investment in the state, it is estimated that approximately 3,600 jobs will be created in the work areas. This information was announced by the Secretary of State for Infrastructure and Mobility, Fernando Marcato, who also highlighted R$ 20 million in taxes that will be allocated to the benefiting cities.
Minas Gerais has shown itself to be a state with investment potential. Grupo Petrópolis, for example, is investing over R$ 1 billion in its largest factory in the state and offering 700 jobs for the Triângulo Mineiro.
