The giant of Brazil, Eurofarma, is seeking more sustainability and environmental commitment in its operations over the next few years. The company has established a partnership with Omega Energia to participate in the Assuruá 4 wind farm, located in the state of Bahia. The agreement with the energy company provides for the supply of 100% of the pharmaceutical company’s operations with wind energy over the coming years.

However, the agreement for the supply of wind energy from Assuruá 4 is still subject to modifications or revocations by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense — CADE and financial institutions.
Maria del Pilar Muñoz, Vice President of Sustainability and New Business at Eurofarma, highlights: “We were greatly challenged to find a solution that would allow us to achieve the ambitious goal of having our energy matrix 100% renewable in a short period of time.”
The executive also emphasized the enthusiasm for the new wind energy project: “We rely on the support of external consulting and the dedication of a multidisciplinary team. We are excited about the inauguration of the new wind farm. The green economy is already a reality, and we want to harness Brazil’s potential by increasingly investing in solutions like this.”
