Announcement of A Million-Dollar Investment Package Will Bring Economic Development and New Jobs to The South Region of Espírito Santo.

Last Monday (08), the acting governor and Secretary of Development, Ricardo Ferraço, announced that three private companies will contribute more than R$ 100 million to modernize and expand their production projects.

Based in Alfredo Chaves, Bebidas Alfredense will invest R$ 30 million in expanding the production of beverages in bottles, cans, and draft beer. Meanwhile, SB Mineração and Decolores Mármore e Granito, located in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, will invest more than R$ 17 million and R$ 70 million, respectively, for modernization and expansion of their production capacities.

The Investments Attract New Businesses and Generate Opportunities in The Region, In Addition to Strengthening The Economy

The announcement also includes other important measures for improving regional infrastructure. The governor signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Espírito Santo Export and Import Trade Union (Sindiex) for the import of small aircraft through Cachoeiro de Itapemirim Airport.

Furthermore, the hiring of basic and executive projects for the repair and duplication of ES-488, the section Cachoeiro de Itapemirim x Entroncamento BR-101 (Frade), covering a distance of 12.90 km, was also announced.

The Investment Is Expected to Reach Approximately R$ 183 Million

“These investments are very important for the development of the region and for the state. Making regions more competitive and attractive to investments is the best social policy, as it creates job opportunities and gives dignity to people who can earn a living without needing support from public services or any other institution,” said Ferraço.

Bebida Alfredense, which is part of the Investment Incentive Program in the State of Espírito Santo (Invest-ES), estimates that it will generate 300 new direct jobs. SB Mineração and Decolores Mármore e Granito are expected to generate about 70 and 70 direct jobs, respectively.

To facilitate the import of small aircraft, Sindiex and the Secretary of Development (Sedes) signed a Cooperation Agreement. The Espírito Santo leads a very important segment of small aircraft imports. The state imported nearly R$ 6 billion in aircraft in 2022, with 70% of this amount imported by the state during that period.
