Success Stories in the JBS Program
Several inspiring stories emerge from the JBS Without Borders program. One example is Henrique Mendes da Silva, 27 years old, who after eight years on the production line at JBS in Marabá, Pará, decided to take a chance and applied.
His determination took him to Canada, where he finally fulfilled his dream of living in a first-world country.
“When I learned about the opportunity, I was thrilled. Living in a country like this was something rare in my region,” Henrique shares.
Another case is Esdras Mota da Silva, 40 years old, who, married and a father of two, saw the program as a valuable opportunity.
He also ventured to Canada, where he believes the experience will be significant learning for his children, who will be able to learn English in an immersive way. “Living abroad represents a dream come true and a unique opportunity,” Esdras states.
Gabriel Antunes Oliveira Lima, 27 years old, has always dreamed of living in Australia.
He stood out in the largest selection process of the program, which offered more than 1,500 positions, and in January he flew to work in Rockhampton, Queensland. “Thanks to JBS’s support and my effort, this dream became a reality,” says Gabriel.
How the Program Works
The JBS Without Borders program operates with a continuous selection process, allowing company employees to apply at any time.
To participate, it is necessary to have been with JBS for at least 12 months and have at least six months of experience in the desired position.
English fluency is not an essential requirement, as JBS offers language training in partnership with the J&F Institute.
The minimum education required is complete elementary education, in addition to the specific technical qualifications for each position.
The support is not limited to training; all approved candidates receive full assistance, which includes visa guidance, airfare, and necessary documentation for the move.
The Impact of the Program
Since its launch in 2015, the JBS Without Borders program has gone through several phases. Initially aimed at Friboi and Seara operators who moved to Brooks, Alberta, Canada, it has now expanded to include a variety of roles and departments in JBS units worldwide.
Fernando Meller, JBS Brazil’s HR director, emphasizes the importance of the program for personal and professional development.
“Our mission is to provide opportunities for a better future for all our employees. The JBS Without Borders program exemplifies our commitment to offering opportunities both in Brazil and abroad,” he affirms.
How to Apply
For those who wish to be part of this transformative project, JBS has a page with more than 260 available positions in units and offices in Brazil.
Interested individuals can access the website jbs.com.br/carreiras, where they can find detailed information on how to apply. For production operator positions, resumes must be submitted in person at the desired unit.
JBS is recognized as the largest employer in Brazil, with over 150,000 employees in the country and 270,000 in factories and commercial units across 24 countries.
If you are looking for a chance for professional growth while experiencing new opportunities, the JBS Without Borders program may be your gateway to a new life.
