Applications for the Substitute Professor Position at the Federal Institute in São Carlos Are Open from September 19 to 24. Take Advantage! 

The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Santa Catarina (IFSC) announced the opening of a new selection process, as published in the announcement 20/2024. This selection aims to fill a vacancy for the position of Substitute Professor at São Carlos Campus, with the goal of addressing a temporary need of exceptional public interest in the area of English language teaching. Applications are open from September 19 to 24, 2024, and the remuneration can reach R$ 6,356.02.

Job Details at the Federal Institute

The job available at the Federal Institute is for the English area, which requires a degree in Language Arts with a qualification in English or English-Portuguese.

The selected professional will work a 40-hour weekly schedule, with remuneration ranging between R$ 3,412.63 and R$ 6,356.02, in addition to a food allowance that can reach R$ 1,000 per month.

Contracts may be renewed according to the needs of the administration, with a maximum duration of two years.

There will be no registration fee, making the process accessible to all interested candidates.

To register, all candidates, whether from the open competition, black individuals or persons with disabilities, need to submit a single PDF file containing a copy of an official identification document, a curriculum vitae or a link to the Lattes platform with the updated resume.

In addition to a cover sheet for organizing the documents for the curriculum evaluation, the documentation that proves the items that will be scored in the evaluation and, if applicable, a medical report if the candidate is applying for the vacancy designated for persons with disabilities.

It is essential that all documents are submitted within the stipulated deadline, as the lack of any of them may disqualify the candidate.

Selection and Results

The selection process for professor at the Federal Institute will be divided into two stages: curriculum analysis and a teaching performance test with questioning.

Candidates must demonstrate their pedagogical skills and their knowledge in the area of expertise.

The result will be published in the Official Gazette of the Union and on the Federal Institute’s website starting October 16, 2024. This selection process will be valid for one year, and it may be extended for an equal period, should the administration decide so.

This means that approved candidates may be called during this time to cover other needs of the institution.
