Production in Porto Real opens space for the arrival of the compact SUV to the Brazilian market and repositions the Fluminense factory within Stellantis’ industrial strategy in the country.

Jeep has started test-phase production of the Avenger at the Automotive Pole of Porto Real, in southern Rio de Janeiro.

This stage precedes the mass production of the compact SUV, which will be the new entry model of the brand in the country.

The project also marks the production of the first national Jeep outside Goiana, Pernambuco.

The operation in Porto Real is linked to a plan of R$ 3 billion in investments expected by Stellantis for the unit between 2025 and 2030.

According to the company, the resources will be allocated to modernizing the factory, expanding production capacity, and incorporating new suppliers.

At this moment, the assembled units serve to validate industrial processes before the start of regular production.

During this phase, the manufacturer typically adjusts equipment, line times, and quality control procedures.

In an official statement, Stellantis’ president in South America, Herlander Zola, stated that the arrival of another brand to the Fluminense hub reinforces the technological capacity of the unit.

Jeep announced that the Avenger will be part of the brand’s local lineup and will expand its presence in the Brazilian market.

So far, the manufacturer has not detailed the exact date for the start of mass production or the complete commercial launch schedule.

Jeep Avenger in Porto Real marks a new stage of production in Brazil

The choice of Porto Real to manufacture the Avenger had already been confirmed by Stellantis in September 2025.

The announcement was made as part of the new investment cycle for the Fluminense plant, which the group has begun to treat as a multi-brand base with an expanded role in the Brazilian operation.

In addition to the new Jeep, the factory already produces models from Citroën, such as C3, Aircross, and Basalt.

With this, the Avenger will be assembled in the same industrial complex that currently houses the national line of the French brand.

The operation reinforces the strategy of sharing industrial structure among different brands of the group.

In May 2025, Stellantis also reported that five new suppliers would be incorporated into the Porto Real hub.

According to the company, two of them would be installed within the industrial park itself by 2026.

This measure was presented as part of the process of expanding and reorganizing the local production chain.

The Fluminense plant completed 25 years of operation in February 2026.

In this context, the arrival of the Avenger represents Jeep’s entry into the industrial routine of the unit, something that had not occurred until then in Brazil.

How the Jeep Avenger is sold in Europe

The Avenger was initially launched in the European market and is positioned as a compact SUV.

In the configuration sold in that market, the model has 4.08 meters in length, 1.77 meters in width, 1.53 meters in height, and 2.56 meters in wheelbase.

The trunk has a capacity of 380 liters in the European technical specifications.

These dimensions place the vehicle in a lower range than the Renegade.

The smaller size indicates a proposal aimed at urban use, without abandoning traditional visual elements of the brand, such as the seven-slot grille and the design of straighter lines.

In Brazil, Jeep had already showcased the Avenger to the public at the São Paulo Auto Show in 2025.

At that time, the brand announced that the model would be produced locally starting in 2026, but did not present the technical details of the national configuration.

What Jeep has already confirmed about the Brazilian version of the SUV

So far, Jeep has not disclosed the complete technical specifications of the Avenger manufactured in Brazil.

Therefore, information such as engine, power, torque, versions, prices, consumption, and equipment list has not yet been officially confirmed by the manufacturer.

What has already been informed by the company is that the SUV will be produced in the country, will occupy the position of entry model for Jeep in the Brazilian market, and is expected to launch this year.

Beyond that, the available data is still partial.

Part of the specialized automotive press has reported that the Brazilian model is expected to use a shared platform with other compact models from the group and feature mild electrified powertrains.

These points have appeared in reports from outlets such as Motor1 and Autos Segredos, but remain without official validation from Jeep or Stellantis.

For this reason, the most reliable information at this moment is what is stated in the manufacturer’s communications: the Avenger is in the industrial testing phase and will have national production in Porto Real.

The other details depend on confirmation from the brand.

The official images released so far also preserve some information about the vehicle.

The material shows the model in a factory environment, without a complete display of the commercial configuration that will be offered to Brazilian consumers.

Compact SUV from Jeep enters an already disputed segment

The arrival of the Avenger expands Jeep’s presence in a market segment that includes several compact utilities.

In an official statement, the brand itself classified the B-SUV segment as one of the fastest-growing.

In the Brazilian market, this space includes established models and new launches.

In this scenario, the Avenger is expected to occupy a position below the Renegade in Jeep’s national lineup, according to the strategy already indicated by the manufacturer since the model’s presentation to the Brazilian public in 2025.

There is still no official confirmation regarding price range, available versions, or exact date of arrival at dealerships.
