A Young Person Just 23 Developed an Electric Car That Uses Solar Energy and Makes Use of Technologies That Could Revolutionize the Automotive Industry
A 23-year-old Russian created an electric car that uses solar energy and went viral online, with a vehicle made from recycled materials. The invention is named “Dark Phase,” belonging to young Nikita Poddubnov, who also developed interesting connectivity in the vehicle that could revolutionize the automotive industry.

The Dark Phase will be put to the test on a trip to China, but the model is still being updated with some additional configurations. According to the young Russian, the chassis of the solar-powered electric car is entirely homemade, made of aluminum to keep everything as light as possible.
The wheels were taken from Chinese scooters. The rear wheels were replaced with a 1KW electric motor. For the young man to build the solar-powered electric car, a total investment of R$ 14,000 was needed.

For now, the recyclable electric model that could revolutionize the automotive industry weighs only 150 kg and features solar power panels on all surfaces, each panel producing 200 watts. Just like regular electric cars, when solar energy is not being utilized, it is necessary to recharge the Dark Phase directly from a socket.
Solar-Powered Electric Car Has Its Own App
According to the young man, the vehicle has considerable autonomy, capable of running for six hours at speeds of up to 30 km/h. Additionally, the Russian even developed an app to control some functions of the vehicle 100% remotely, such as turning on the lights.
The young Russian reports that he got lazy installing buttons for the headlights, candles, and everything else, so he decided to do all the buttons on his cell phone screen to save money and time. The entire project of the solar-powered electric car is being documented with videos and photos so that the evolution of the model can be shown to the automotive industry.
However, it will take some time for the model to be ready for its test in China or even to drive on the streets. The electric car will likely be certified, as it must be able to drive on public roads without compromising the safety of both the young man and others.
Brilliant Ideas Around the World
It’s amazing to see that young people care about low gas emissions in the atmosphere, just like Nikita Poddubnov, a young engineer from Nigeria who built a car powered by wind and solar energy using scrap.
The model received an investment of US$ 6,000. Several entrepreneurs were eager about the new invention from the Nigerian engineer.
The student spent over a year making adaptations to the materials used, which were donated by friends and family. The young man, Segun Oyeiola, claims that the idea arose when he began to become aware of CO2 emissions.
