Copel, Paranaense Energy Company, announced the acquisition, through its subsidiary Copel Geração e Transmissão, of the wind farms of the complexes of Santa Rosa & New World and Adventure, held by EDP Renováveis Brasil. The amount invested by the company was R $ 1,8 billion and, with this new acquisition, wind power now represents 17% of Copel's portfolio. The complexes acquired by Copel have a total installed capacity of 260,4 MW together. With this transaction, the company's installed wind production capacity increased by 28%, and wind power now represents 17% of the company's generation portfolio.
