Kidde Global Solutions (KGS) – a world leader in safety and fire protection solutions – focuses on developing high-complexity projects, primarily for the petrochemical, chemical, mining, Oil & Gas, and construction sectors, which face the challenge of optimizing their fire detection and suppression systems while adhering to national and international regulations to protect lives and property.

“Our team has the necessary know-how to assess the installations of a building or manufacturing plant and design, install, and ensure maintenance of the entire fire detection system as well as fire suppression mechanisms, delivered quickly and effectively in response to any potential incident,” highlights Marcelo Zeppelini, General Director of KGS in Latin America.

Growth and Investments in the Latin American Market:

In December 2024, Lone Star Funds acquired the commercial and residential fire business from Carrier Global Corporation for US$ 3 billion. Last year, the companies, which are now part of KGS, generated US$ 2 billion in revenue. Over the next five years, KGS plans to invest in new hires, product innovation, and logistics capacity to expand its market presence, maintaining a focus on accelerated double-digit growth.

To serve the market more efficiently, the company adopted a new strategy, investing in a local inventory of GST™ brand detection and alarm equipment located in Extrema (MG). In the same unit, CO2, water, and chemical powder extinguishers are manufactured, available in portable, wheeled, and automotive versions, for classes A, B, and C, as well as special extinguishers for Class K. The plant also produces fluorine-free hoses and foams under the Kidde brand, further expanding its range of solutions.

With the arrival of the GST™ brand in Brazil – a supplier of a wide range of fire products and customized fire system solutions – KGS aims to meet the demands for low-complexity commercial applications, offering smaller systems that are easy to install and competitively priced. According to Zeppelini, this expansion positions the company in a broader market that values simple, accessible solutions, while also making its products readily available for the national market.

KGS’s Operations in Latin America:

• Fire System Integration – primarily focused on the industrial market, offers integration, design, and engineering services for fire detection and suppression solutions with products that integrate KGS and other brands.
• Suppression – markets fire-fighting products from the Kidde™ brand, manufactured in Extrema (MG), such as extinguishers, hoses, and fluorine-free foam, as well as similar imported products under the Badger™ brand.
• Detection and Alarm – markets fire detection and alarm systems from renowned brands such as Edwards®, Kidde™, and GST™. Operates throughout the region, utilizing various distribution channels, and offers high-quality solutions with comprehensive technical and commercial support, certifications, and specialized services for the application and operation of systems.
