Lewis Hamilton Sells Collection Valued at R$ 93 Million, Reveals Passion for Art and Plans to Create His Own Version of the Ferrari F40
Lewis Hamilton, seven-time Formula 1 champion, surprised everyone by getting rid of his entire car collection. The collection was estimated at £13 million, equivalent to about R$ 93 million, and included rare models from iconic brands.
Unexpected Decision by Hamilton
During the Azerbaijan Grand Prix press conference, the Briton revealed the reason for his choice. “I got rid of all my cars. These days, I like art more,” he said.
The comment drew attention because Hamilton had previously stated in interviews that driving outside of the tracks was something stressful.

Iconic Cars
The collection included 15 vehicles, according to the newspaper Marca. Among them was the exclusive Ferrari LaFerrari, valued at R$ 24.3 million, as well as machines like the Mercedes-Benz AMG GTR, the Mercedes GL63, and the Mercedes-Maybach 600.
Declared Preference
Despite the sale, the driver mentioned that if he were to choose a car currently, he would opt for the Ferrari F40.
Only 1,311 units of this model were manufactured between 1987 and 1996. For him, the vehicle is a true work of art.
Hamilton also revealed an ambitious dream: to create his own version inspired by the F40. “I want to make an F44, based on the F40 and a real manual transmission. That’s what I’ll be working on for the next few years,” he shared.
In the Drivers’ Championship, Hamilton is currently in sixth place, with 121 points. He continues to seek his first podium with Ferrari, the team he joined in 2024.
The next challenge will be the Singapore Grand Prix, scheduled for October 3-5.
