Petrobras, one of the largest oil companies in the world, recently announced the list of approved candidates for the selection of new team members. A total of 1,119 positions were made available in the 2023 Petrobras public competition, aiming for both immediate filling and reserve registration. The announcement containing the list of approved candidates was published in the Official Gazette of the Union last Thursday (13).
Of the 1,119 positions announced, 373 are for immediate hiring and the remaining 746 for reserve registration. Petrobras has shown its commitment to diversity and inclusion by reserving 8% of the immediate positions for people with disabilities and 20% for Black candidates.
The public competition was aimed at candidates with junior technical education. The new hires will receive a base salary of R$ 3,294.36, with a guaranteed minimum income of R$ 5,563.90.

How and When Was the Petrobras Competition Held?
Candidates were subjected to exams on April 30, after paying an application fee of R$ 62.79. Other necessary requirements included: being at least 18 years old and no more than 75 years old on the date of admission, having Brazilian or Portuguese nationality, being up to date with electoral and military obligations (for Brazilian male candidates), and being able to demonstrate physical and mental fitness to perform the function.
Approved candidates in the Petrobras competition will work in a diverse range of areas, including:
- Occupational Nursing
- Equipment and Installation Inspection
- Transport Logistics
- Maintenance (Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical)
- Operation
- Ballast Operation
- Projects, Construction, and Assembly
- Work Safety
- Supply of Goods and Services
The selection process was organized by Cebraspe, a non-profit civil association specialized in assessment and selection.
