According to company representatives, the initiative aimed to showcase the variety of products and the preparation standard adopted in the franchises.

Location and Operation
The new store is located at Avenida Deputado Jacob Salvador Zveibil, s/n, on the ground floor of Butantã Shopping.
The location follows the shopping center’s hours: Monday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 10 PM, and on Sundays and holidays, from 11 AM to 8 PM.
According to the company, the space was designed to provide a comfortable environment and service within the franchise standard of the chain.
Expansion of the Chain in the São Paulo Capital
With the inauguration at Butantã, the city of São Paulo now has 114 Sodiê Doces units.
This number is part of the brand’s growth strategy, which recently reopened a store in Votorantim, in the interior of São Paulo.
According to franchise industry experts, openings in established shopping malls and commercial centers are a trend among food chains looking to increase visibility and diversify their audience.
Production and Menu
According to information from Sodiê, the cakes are produced with sponge cake batter, fresh fruits, and selected raw materials.
The company claims to maintain standardized processes at all units, with quality supervision.
The menu also includes small sweets (traditional, fine, Belgian, and bonbons), coconut candies, exclusive savories from the brand, and hot and cold beverages.
According to the Brazilian Franchise Association (ABF), the standardization of processes and diverse product offerings tend to contribute to the good performance of confectionery franchises in the country.
Recognition and International Presence
Sodiê Doces was voted Franchise of the Year/2024, according to the ranking published by the ABF, and claims to currently have 400 stores in operation in Brazil and two units in Orlando, in the United States.
The award recognizes the performance of franchise networks based on criteria such as expansion, management, and franchisee satisfaction.
Franchise market experts evaluate that the internationalization of Brazilian brands in the food segment has grown in recent years, driven by the interest of foreign consumers and the presence of Brazilian communities abroad.
Marketing Strategy
At this Thursday’s opening, Sodiê adopted free distribution of cake slices as a marketing strategy.
According to the company, the initiative aimed to allow visitors to experience the flavors and texture of the products.
Retail marketing experts point out that tastings at points of sale are common practices to attract consumers and stimulate brand awareness.
Consolidation in the Capital
With 114 units in the city, Sodiê Doces establishes itself as one of the chains with the largest presence in the bakery sector in São Paulo.
Industry data indicates that the capital concentrates a significant portion of the food franchises in the country, driven by high consumer traffic in malls and commercial avenues.
According to ABF analysts, the growth of bakery brands is related to the demand for ready-made products and the increase in dessert consumption after the pandemic.
The opening at Butantã Shopping follows this trend, focusing on high-traffic locations and diverse audiences.
Services Offered
The unit features a service counter, refrigerated showcase, and space for custom orders.
The menu follows the standard of the other stores in the chain, including Zero Sugar and Vegan versions, catering to consumers with specific dietary restrictions or preferences.
The Homemade Line is presented as an option of more traditional recipes, while the premium chocolates are part of the portfolio aimed at those seeking intense flavors.
Hours and Service
The operation follows the schedule of Butantã Shopping, with in-person service and order pickup.
The store also offers coffees, teas, and cold beverages.
According to the shopping management, the expectation is that the customer flow will increase during lunch hours and early evening, peak times in the shopping center.
Expansion Plans
The company reported that the expansion plan remains active and aims for new units by the end of 2025, prioritizing high-traffic areas.
The reopening of the store in Votorantim, in the interior, reinforces the brand’s presence in the state.
According to franchise sector analysts, the continuous growth of chains like Sodiê reflects entrepreneurs’ interest in segments with high demand and standardized operations.
