Deye Chooses The Industrial Pole Of Manaus For Its First Factory Outside Of China, Focusing On Batteries And Inverters, Creating A Thousand Jobs.

Last Tuesday, (03/09), Deye, a renowned Chinese company in the production of solar inverters, batteries, and environmental comfort solutions, announced the installation of its first factory outside of China. The chosen location is the Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM). The announcement was made during a meeting at the Superintendency of the Free Trade Zone of Manaus (Suframa), with the presence of representatives from the company and the local authority.

Announcement Meeting And Participants

The meeting was led by the superintendent of Suframa, Bosco Saraiva, and included the presence of Arthur Lisboa, the general coordinator of Foreign Trade and International Affairs of the Authority.

Also present were David Ji, global technology head of Deye; Alan Wu, global vice president of Sales of the company; Thiago Gomes, country manager of Deye for Brazil, Italy, and Spain; and Caio Lentini, operations director of the company for those same regions.

During the meeting, Thiago Gomes highlighted the importance of the new factory for the company and the local market.

“Our arrival here is to set up the battery factory and, subsequently, the inverter factory, with the goal of increasing our competitiveness in the national and South American market, in addition to offering better tax solutions to our clients and reinforcing our sales leadership”, stated Gomes.

Caio Lentini added that Deye is already present in over 150 countries and is a market leader in several of them, including Brazil, the United States, Germany, South Africa, and Asia-Pacific countries like the Philippines and Indonesia.

Details Of Deye’s Factory Project

The new factory of Deye in Manaus will be the first unit of the company outside of China and is part of its global strategy for expansion and regionalization.

The construction of the factory is in the phase of site prospecting and technical-economic project feasibility. The initial plan is to start with battery production, later expanding to inverters and eventually air conditioners.

The choice of Manaus is largely due to the tax and logistical benefits offered by the Free Trade Zone of Manaus (ZFM).

According to Deye representatives, the expectation is to create a thousand direct and indirect jobs, covering both the manufacturing and assembly of the equipment.

Deye’s arrival at the Industrial Pole of Manaus represents a significant step for the company, expanding its production capacity and reinforcing its presence in the Latin American market.

Support From Suframa And Local Benefits

The superintendent of Suframa, Bosco Saraiva, emphasized the Authority’s support for new investments in the region.

“Suframa is always open to supporting investments that promote the development of our region. Deye’s interest in establishing its first factory here demonstrates the competitiveness and advantages that the Industrial Pole of Manaus offers”, highlighted Saraiva.

The installation of the factory of Deye in Manaus is seen as an opportunity to strengthen the local economy and expand job and technology options in the region.

With Deye’s arrival, the Free Trade Zone of Manaus reaffirms its role as an important center for industrial and technological development.
