The Brazilian Navy Is Accepting Applications Until This Thursday (07) For More Than 400 Job Openings. These Positions Do Not Require A Competitive Exam For Candidates Across Brazil.
The Brazilian Navy is accepting applications for the Volunteer Military Service of Temporary Officers (SMV-RM2), focusing on professionals with higher education, and applications can be submitted until next Thursday (12/07/23). The approved professionals for the job openings will act as Volunteer and Temporary Officers of the Brazilian Navy, earning a great salary and being able to serve in the naval force for up to 8 years.
Who Can Apply For The Non-Competitive Positions In The Brazilian Navy?
In total, 410 job openings have been created in all naval districts, meaning across the country. The opportunities are distributed in five areas:
- Health Support (Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Speech Therapy, Music Therapy, and others);
- Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, and Naval Engineering, among others);
- Technical (Administration, Accounting, Law, Social Work, Psychology, and others);
- Technical-Teaching (Biology, Physical Education, Geography, History, Pedagogy);
- Health (Doctors, Dentists, Pharmacists).
Those interested in the job openings must be native Brazilians, volunteers, aged between 19 and 40, not having been exempt from military service or discharged due to incapacity, be up to date with military electoral obligations, possess good conduct records, not accumulate public office or function, and have a maximum of 6 years of military service, among other requirements.

The application for the Selection Process is not free, and a fee of R$ 140 must be paid by December 7. All applications must be made exclusively through the Brazilian Navy’s system, directly on the website of the naval district in which the candidate is applying. The selection is open to both sexes with higher education.
The estimate is that six months after incorporation into the training course, the Midshipmen will achieve the rank of Second Lieutenant and, six months later, reach First Lieutenant, receiving the respective salaries for these ranks.
The selection process will consist of an Objective Test of eliminatory and classificatory character, Health Inspection, eliminatory, Verification of Biographical Data (VDB) and Document Verification (VD) eliminatory, Entry Physical Fitness Test, eliminatory, Assignment to incorporation, title verification and incorporation.

The Physical Fitness Test for entering the Navy includes swimming a distance of 25 meters in a maximum time of 50 seconds for males and 1 minute for females, considering the following observations:
The start can be performed from outside the pool (edge or starting block) or from inside the pool, at the volunteer’s discretion;
When the pool is less than 25 meters long, contact with the opposite edge shall not exceed 3 seconds during the turn;
The volunteer must only use body resources, and no support on the bottom, side edge, or swimming aids shall be allowed.
It will also be necessary to cover the distance of 2400 meters in a maximum time of 16 minutes for males and 17 minutes for females. The run may be performed on an official athletics track or any previously marked flat course.
