The application fee is R$ 70. The selection process for positions in the Brazilian Navy consists of an Objective Test, Verification of Biographical Data, Health Inspection, Title Evaluation, Document Verification, and Physical Aptitude Test for Entry (TAF-i).
It is worth mentioning that a Corporal of the Navy, in times of peace, can command small military units of about three sailors on missions if working in the Marine Corps, or perform services related to the preparation of ships and naval forces if working in the Armada Corps. In both cases, they can operate on land or embarked, depending on the needs and instructions from the sergeants.
