Understand How the Selection Process for Positions in the Brazilian Navy Works

It is worth noting that, as it is a public sector position, the military career has several common positive aspects to civil service positions, such as a career plan and greater stability.

In all areas of the Armed Forces, there is a defined career plan. Promotions occur based on length of service, bravery, or good performance in specific courses.

The selection process for positions without a public tender occurs in the following stages:

  • 1st Stage: Objective Test (OT) – eliminatory;
  • 2nd Stage: Title Verification (TV) – classificatory;
  • 3rd Stage: Verification of Biographical Data (VBD) – eliminatory; and Document Verification (DV) – eliminatory;
  • 4th Stage: Health Inspection (HI) – eliminatory;
  • 5th Stage: Physical Aptitude Test for Admission (PAT) – eliminatory;
  • 6th Stage: Lesson Test (LT) – eliminatory and classificatory (applicable only for volunteers in the teaching knowledge area); and
  • 7th Stage: Assignment for incorporation.

Se o processo seletivo é sem prova e sem concurso, então por que há tantas etapas com provas e etapas eliminatórias? Não entendi.
