The naval sector in Brazil has been growing increasingly, with investments from the Federal Government in improvements in the agencies of the segment. Now, the Brazilian Navy is looking for skilled and qualified professionals for the temporary positions that will be offered in the coming weeks. The selection processes will be launched on the 20th of October, while the applications will start on the 25th of October. There are about 473 job openings in total for positions in the naval sector across Brazil.

Selection Processes for Job Openings Open on the 20th, According to Information from the Brazilian Navy

All nine Naval Districts of the Brazilian Navy (MB) will disclose, starting on the 20th of October, the Call Notices for the Selection Process for the Volunteer Military Service of Temporary Officers (SMV-OF), for opportunities across Brazil. 

The Brazilian Navy will launch the selection processes on this day and begin its search for professionals in the areas of health support, medicine, engineering, and education.

The applications will start on the 25th of October and will only be finalized on the 8th of November. 

Those interested in the job openings in the national naval sector must be between 18 and 41 years old at the time of application for the selection processes. 

Although the positions are temporary for the candidates, the employment links with the Brazilian Navy can be renewed each year, potentially reaching up to 8 in total. 

In addition, volunteers compete for positions regionally, in each Naval District, and not at the national level, as in the competitions for career positions.

Know How to Make the Applications and More Details About the Selection Processes for the Jobs in the National Naval Sector

To register for the SMV-OF selection processes between October 25 and November 8, it is necessary to access the link of the Brazilian Navy.

Once there, you must choose your preferred Naval District and read the Call Notice in full, paying attention to the particularities of requirements and responsibilities for your state, as the vacancies are regional. 

The application will consist of a selection process with seven stages, the first being an objective test with 50 questions, 25 in Portuguese and 25 in Military-Naval Training, which is eliminatory and classificatory.

Candidates seeking to work in the naval sector in the medical field will have to take a different test, consisting of 25 questions in Portuguese and 25 in Specific Knowledge in the medical area. 

Finally, the other stages of the selection process will be: Verification of Biographical Data and Document Verification, Health Inspection, Physical Aptitude Test for Admission, Title Examination, Assignment for Incorporation, and Incorporation.

Even though these are temporary services with the Brazilian Navy, job openings in the naval sector open doors to new growth opportunities in the segment. 

The initial position to be filled will be that of Guard Midshipman, remaining for the first six months, and the candidate can advance in rank until completing their maximum cycle in the naval career, which is eight years.
