Registration is Open for the Brazilian Navy Competition Focusing on Professionals from Various Fields. Successful Candidates Will Earn Salaries of R$ 9,000 and Have an 8-Year Commitment to the Navy.

The Brazilian Navy is accepting applications for its public competition. A total of 550 positions are available for Officers with a higher education degree. The opportunities in the Navy Competition are aimed at the Voluntary Military Service of 2023, across the fields of Health, Engineering, Medicine, Technical, and Education. The initial salary offered is R$ 9,070.00, and the commitment to the Brazilian Navy can last up to 8 years, with annual renewal.

Eligible Courses for Filling Positions in the Brazilian Navy Competition

Those interested in applying must meet basic requirements such as being a volunteer, being a natural-born Brazilian, being over 18 years old and under 41 years old, having registration with a professional regulatory body, having a clean record, and being up to date with electoral and military obligations. The opportunities are for professionals with degrees in the following fields:

  • Physical Therapy;
  • Occupational Therapy;

  • Archiving;
  • Library Science;

Regarding the distribution of positions in the Brazilian Navy competition, they are spread across 9 Naval Districts, which are:

  • 1st Naval District: Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, and Southeast Minas;
  • 2nd Naval District: Sergipe, Bahia, and Southwest Minas Gerais;
  • 3rd Naval District: Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Alagoas, Paraíba, and Pernambuco;
  • 4th Naval District: Maranhão, Pará, Amapá, Piauí;
  • 5th Naval District: Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul;
  • 6th Naval District: Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul;
  • 7th Naval District: Tocantins, Goiás, and Federal District;
  • 8th Naval District: Paraná, São Paulo, and South Minas Gerais;
  • 9th Naval District: Amazonas, Rondônia, Acre, and Roraima.

Applications and Selection Process for the Navy Competition

Those interested in applying for the positions in the competition must access the website of each district by the 8th of this month. Additionally, it will be necessary to pay a fee of R$ 140. Below is the electronic address for each district:

The Brazilian Navy Competition will consist of a Objective Test of Eliminatory and Qualifying Nature, verification of biographical data, and document verification of eliminatory nature. There will also be a Physical Aptitude Test for Admission, of eliminatory nature; Health Inspection, of eliminatory nature; Title Examination, of qualifying nature; and Assignment to Incorporation.

The objective test is scheduled for February 5, 2023. Applicants must answer 50 questions on Portuguese Language, Specific Knowledge (only for doctors), and Naval Military Training (except for doctors).

About the Navy Competition

Those who do not yet have work experience can participate in the competition as long as they have completed their education and meet the requirements of the announcement. There is a career plan that provides service members with professional growth based on meritocracy.

The career of Officers includes the following ranks: First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander, Frigate Captain, Corvette Captain, and Captain of the Sea and War.
