The Pé-de-Meia Licenciaturas program is now open for enrollment and offers scholarships of over R$ 1,000 for students of in-person bachelor’s degrees.
This initiative is part of the “More Teachers for Brazil” program and aims to ensure the training of new teachers to meet the demand in the public education network.
Who Can Participate?
Interested individuals must have been approved in the Unified Selection System (Sisu), the University for All Program (Prouni), or the Student Financing Fund (Fies).
Another possibility is having achieved a score equal to or higher than 650 points in the National High School Exam (Enem) 2024.
The enrollment period is from February 17 to March 30, 2025, and registrations must be made on the Freire Platform of CAPES.
How Does the Scholarship Work?
The scholarship granted by the Pé-de-Meia Licenciaturas is divided into two installments:
- R$ 700 can be withdrawn monthly by the student.
- R$ 350 will be deposited into a savings account and can only be withdrawn after the student completes the course and enters the public education network.
Payments are scheduled to start on May 1, 2025.
Step-by-Step Guide to Enroll
- Access the Freire Platform of CAPES and register.
- Complete the form with academic and personal information.
- Attach the required documentation as per Public Notice No. 1/2025.
- Wait for the review and final result, expected on April 14, 2025.
It is important to note that expressing interest does not automatically guarantee the scholarship, as approval in the selection process is necessary.

Sugestão! Corram das escolas públicas. Você viverá sua vida sendo desrespeitado por todos, ganhando pouco e frustrado, pois, não é possível ensinar aqueles que foram levados a acreditar em escola como ponto de recreação… Só pelo prazer vale fazer qualquer coisa. Estudar mesmo é verbo distante das escolas. Você, futuro professor frustrado, será único responsabilizado pelo fracasso pedagógico dos seus aluninhos que vão à escola fazer nada e afirmarem que “não reprova mesmo”. Não me confundam; alunos é o melhor que há dentro de qualquer escola mas, educados para só fazerem o que querem e o que gostam, não resta espaço para o que realmente constrói conhecimento: estudo, empenho e disciplina. O resto é conversa para **** dormir. Governos, sejam de direita ou de esquerda, constroem um cenário assustador para este país. Nossos jovens são destruídos por sistemas educacionais que não os ensinam a lidar com nenhum tipo de frustração. A escola pública, ao menos de SP, só tem compromisso com a pedagogia do espetáculo a serviço de um bom marketing.
