This strategic partnership aims not only to strengthen port operations but also to foster innovation and sustainability in the transportation and logistics sector by creating a mega project.
Investment from the Netherlands in Brazil Reaches R$ 414.675 Million
The Port of Rotterdam has partnerships with Brazilian ports to improve logistics and transportation infrastructure. More Than 20 Thousand Jobs Will Be Created Following Investment from the Netherlands in Brazil
The expectation is that, with the investment from the Netherlands in Brazil, about 3 to 5 thousand jobs will be generated. With the estimate based on the ratio of three indirect jobs for each direct job, the expectation is that between 9 to 15 thousand indirect jobs will be created.
Investment for the Mega Project is crucial for the economic development of the region, providing new jobs and leveraging local economic growth. The total impact of generated jobs goes beyond direct figures, enhancing infrastructure, increasing logistical efficiency, and promoting sustainable development in the area.
These jobs include sectors such as transportation, logistics, services, material and equipment supply, and other ancillary sectors. It’s common for projects of this magnitude to create a significant amount of indirect jobs, often surpassing the number of direct jobs.
The estimate is that for every direct job created in infrastructure projects, up to three indirect jobs will be generated.
Brazil Welcomes Visit from Dutch Deputy Ambassador
The head of the Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor), Silvio Costa Filho highlights the importance of commercial exchange between both countries. In the port sector, the minister cited the Port of Rotterdam, the largest seaport in Europe, as an example for other ports around the world.
Regarding the airport modality, the head emphasized plans to create greater connectivity of Brazil with other nations, especially the Netherlands.
According to Silvio Costa Filho, the Ministry of Ports and Airports is focusing efforts on developing actions in different areas of intervention. One of them is to discuss the environmental agenda, such as green ships and ports and new operations that engage with environmental sustainability.
