Mercado Livre, the e-commerce giant, has launched, in partnership with Cubus Academy, a technology education course that aims to train 10,000 professionals in the field over two years. There are 2500 scholarships with certification in Immersion in Introduction to Programming. The free courses aim to support young people in technology and reduce gender inequality in the sector. In Brazil, which has the highest deficit among 10 evaluations of Latin American countries, it is estimated that by 2024 more than 300,000 professionals will be needed in the technology field. The technology course classes will start on January 8. The first scholarships will prioritize women, non-binary people, Black individuals, and former public school students.
