Mercado Livre and Cubus Academy Offer 2500 Scholarships for Technology Course. The First Scholarships Will Prioritize Women, Non-Binary People, Black Individuals, and Former Public School Students
Mercado Livre, the e-commerce giant, has launched, in partnership with Cubus Academy, a technology education course that aims to train 10,000 professionals in the field over two years. There are 2500 scholarships with certification in Immersion in Introduction to Programming. The free courses aim to support young people in technology and reduce gender inequality in the sector. In Brazil, which has the highest deficit among 10 evaluations of Latin American countries, it is estimated that by 2024 more than 300,000 professionals will be needed in the technology field. The goal is to train professionals ready to enter the job market, based on academic concepts using agile methodologies.
The technology course classes will start on January 8. The first scholarships will prioritize women, non-binary people, Black individuals, and former public school students. The training will be online and will also include live classes. The methodology focuses on practical learning and includes teachers active in the market helping students complete projects.
