The New System, Called MB.OS, Will Have a Modern Architecture with Google Services and Will Be 100% Connected!
The giant automaker Mercedes-Benz is becoming more and more technological, and to prove this, the automaker of cars announced the evolution of its MBUX operating system, now called MB.OS. The new system will feature a modern, robust, 100% connected architecture, integrated, and, the cherry on top: it will include Google services.
According to the German Mercedes-Benz, the new operating system with Google will provide drivers with a more connected environment, meaning that the driver can control everything through the app installed on their phone.
The new system is being developed on the MMA platform (Mercedes Modular Architecture), which will start being implemented in all Mercedes-Benz cars beginning in 2025.

Mercedes expects that with this new system installation, its cars will have a greater capacity to process autonomous driving technologies at levels 2 and 3. In addition to the new Google system in Mercedes cars, it is also thanks to the supply of car chips from Nvidia that the plan will be possible.
Car Chips
The partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Nvidia will give users the opportunity to play games and even hold meetings with Zoom, considering that the consoles will have cameras in the future.
Although all these features are unprecedented, what stands out most in this new system integrated with Google are the improvements in the autonomous driving of Mercedes-Benz cars.
Mercedes-Benz states that the “brain” of the cars from now on will be the Nvidia chip system, which is capable of processing data from a set of sensors around the cars.
The System and Google
The biggest novelty of the new system in Mercedes-Benz cars is the integration with Google’s system, which encompasses the entire range of the company’s services. One example of this is Google Maps, which will make up the GPS for Mercedes-Benz cars, providing drivers with real-time location and traffic updates.
In addition to Google Maps, Mercedes-Benz car users will also be able to use YouTube while the car is parked, an interesting option considering electric cars that require some time to charge.
The launch of the new system integrated with Google by the automaker Mercedes-Benz is scheduled for “mid-decade,” between 2025 and 2026.
