- Communication, organization, logical reasoning, proactivity, and productivity.
Desirable Knowledge:
- Assembly of electrical panels, MCCs, automation panels, control desks, distribution panels, etc.
- Reading and interpretation of electrical panels
- Existence of panel blanks
- Industrial assembly
- Cable trays, conduits, supports, equipment fastening, etc.
- Interpretation of schedules
- Knowledge of building electrical systems
- Use of measuring equipment
- Experience in industrial maintenance (3 years)
- Willingness to travel
- Driver’s License
Minimum Education:
- Completed elementary education and a specialization course in electrical work
Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems in homes, businesses, and factories.
The electrician typically does the following: Reads technical schematics or diagrams. Installs and maintains wiring, control, and lighting systems. Inspects electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers. Identifies electrical problems using a variety of testing devices. Repairs or replaces wiring, equipment, or accessories using hand tools and power tools. Follows state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code.
