With Just R$ 15 Thousand, Lucas Carvalho from Santana Vargem (MG) Created His Own Version of the Cybertruck Using the Chassis of an Old Beetle, Replicating Tesla’s Futuristic Design and Taking the Internet by Storm.

Who said innovation is exclusive to major tech hubs? Lucas Carvalho, a young man from Santana Vargem (MG), proved that all it takes is creativity, determination, and a Beetle to create something extraordinary. Inspired by the Tesla Cybertruck, Lucas transformed a classic Volkswagen Beetle into a Brazilian version of the futuristic pickup: the Cyberfusca.

A Passion for Innovation and the Birth of the Cyberfusca

Lucas Carvalho, known as “Tiu Luquinha,” was already famous for his unique inventions. From a cardboard bicycle to miniature buses and trucks, he always pushed the boundaries of creativity. Upon encountering the bold design of the Tesla Cybertruck, Lucas had a spark: why not create his own version by adapting a Beetle that was almost heading for the junkyard?

“It was love at first sight. The Cybertruck is unlike anything else, and I wanted to do something in the same style, but with my own touch,” Lucas revealed. Thus began an eight-month journey that mixed engineering, art, and passion.

From the Junkyard to the Chassis: The Base of the Brazilian Cybertruck Project

The Brazilian Cybertruck project began with the acquisition of a red Beetle for just R$ 1,000. Despite its simplicity, the car had a 1.5-liter engine in great condition, needing only minimal adjustments like spark plug and oil changes. The chassis was completely cleaned and painted, and minor improvements, like replacing the steering box, were made to ensure the base was ready for the “upgrade.”

Lucas even considered installing an electric motor to get closer to the original Tesla, but prohibitive costs led him to reuse the Beetle’s engine.

The Body: Creating a Futuristic Look

The magic happened with the body. Using metal and 18-gauge steel sheets, Lucas designed and shaped every detail, replicating the futuristic lines of the Cybertruck. Everything was welded by hand, transforming the Beetle into a car that visually resembles Tesla’s model closely.

For technical reasons, Lucas retained some original parts, such as the tank support and the oil reservoir. In the rear, he adapted a cargo bed with a secret compartment to access the engine. This blend of creativity and functionality resulted in a unique car.

Final Details and the Identity of the Cyberfusca

The interior also received special attention. Lucas installed a 9-inch multimedia center, new seats, and a steering wheel inspired by the original design of the Cybertruck. The headlights were replaced with LED bars and modern taillights, while the sporty exhaust added a touch of personality.

The paint was another crucial point. Initially, Lucas planned to keep the car red to simplify documentation. However, the desire to replicate Tesla’s metallic look prevailed, and the Cyberfusca received a silver paint job that made it even more futuristic.

With the project completed, Lucas managed to legalize the Cyberfusca for the streets. Today, he hopes his work reaches Elon Musk, the inspiration behind the project. “It would be amazing if he saw it. It’s a dream that came off the paper and hit the streets!” Lucas said.

The Cyberfusca has caught the public’s attention, garnering praise and even invitations to automotive events. For Lucas, this is just the beginning. Besides the Brazilian Cybertruck, he is already planning new projects that promise to surprise even more.

The Cyberfusca is proof that great ideas can arise from simple situations. Lucas Carvalho, with his talent and determination, not only transformed an abandoned Beetle into a work of art resembling the Cybertruck but also showed that innovation knows no bounds, neither geographical nor financial.

So, does Elon Musk know about this yet? If it depends on Lucas, the Cyberfusca will soon be making headlines worldwide!

Fazer uma carroça dessa retomada, qualquer serralheiro de fundo de quintal faz. Nem o original ficou bonito, imagina a réplica é muita perda de tempo mesmo
