• Completed Higher Education, preferably in Engineering and Administration; 
• Knowledge and experience in planning, control, and execution of maintenance processes; 
• Knowledge in maintenance material management; 
• Experience in budget and cost management for maintenance; 
• Experience in maintenance contract management; 
• Experience in electrical maintenance, instrumentation, automation; 
• Availability for travel. 

Some of the Main Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate with technical areas, PCM, and support to ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely, conducting joint risk analysis and reviewing risk analysis in case of scope change;
• Monitor to ensure that maintenance activities are detailed, containing the necessary resources, allocated in the most efficient way, and meeting health, safety, and environmental aspects, with the required quality and within the specified time;
• Report and record Maintenance Orders;
• Contribute, through maintenance processes, to the physical availability and reliability of assets as well as the safety of people through expected behaviors and a high-performance culture to achieve sustainable results, with an obsession for safety.

Engineer Projects and Contracts

Prerequisites: 

• Completed Higher Education in Production Engineering or Civil Engineering; 
• Experience in applying practices, minimum requirements, and recommended routines for project management development and implementation; 
• Experience in creating schedules; 
• Knowledge in complex Geotechnical Projects: environment, safety, construction; 
• Knowledge in Engineering project management; 
• Advanced Office Package (Excel); 
• Basic MS Project knowledge. 

Some of the Main Responsibilities: 

• Ensure the performance of projects under his/her responsibility in terms of deadline, quality, cost, and effectiveness of proposed solutions, enhancing the reliability, predictability, and safety of projects 
• Develop partnerships and interface between multidisciplinary teams; 
• Review the budget of his/her routine to anticipate deviation problems, identifying risks and proposing action plans. 
• Plan, control, and create schedules for Geotechnics activities, focusing on process optimization; 
• Develop S-Curve for project progress management. 

Project Planning Manager

Prerequisites: 

• Degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering; 
• Knowledge in integrated planning of industrial works; 
• Knowledge in planning and control tools for industrial projects; 
• Experience in planning and monitoring construction projects and project control; 
• Experience in development and implementation of large-scale industrial projects. 

Some of the Main Responsibilities: 

• Structure and manage the project’s planning area ensuring project performance and delivery. The planning management structure will consist of Vale’s own team and managing team and will be based at the construction sites of the contracted companies; 
• Practice and promote key behaviors for the company among team and contractors with an obsession for safety, open and transparent dialogue, development and empowerment, and responsibility for the whole; 
• Conduct institutional interfaces with government agencies (federal, state, and municipal) allowing fluidity in the project implementation, especially focusing on monitoring physical planning and supporting the planned handover of deliveries; 
• Structure the planning management by mobilizing resources with skills and experience appropriate to the project scope, assisting in the support chain and team performance for better performance in the performed activities.
