Capture Reveals Subtle Changes in the Honda City Inspired by the Asian Vehicle, with Launch Expected in the Second Half of 2024
The Honda City is about to receive a visual update, as indicated by the latest catches of the sedan from the Japanese brand, which is roaming with disguises through the interior of São Paulo. The expectation is that the changes will be launched in the first half of 2024, according to the Estadão website.
The updates will follow the steps of the vehicle from the Japanese company revealed in India recently; there, the current generation of the Honda City (sold in Brazil since 2021) received subtle changes, which is typical of the Japanese brand.
Changes Already Noticed in the New Honda City
The front grille of the vehicle has been enlarged and received a honeycomb style, while the front bumper adopts new air intakes and has a sharper style. On the sides, the vehicle gains wheels with a new design, and at the rear, the bumper has been renewed, featuring new creases and horizontal reflector lights, in addition to a new lower trim resembling an air diffuser.

Internally, the version of the vehicle from the Japanese company sold in Asia received discreet changes in the cabin and new seat fabrics. However, there is still no confirmation that these updates will be applied to the national model.
Will We Have a Hybrid Vehicle?
The hybrid configuration of the Honda City is not expected to be introduced in the Brazilian market for now. The Japanese Honda will likely maintain the 1.5 flex aspirated engine with 126 hp, coupled with the CVT transmission, as an option for the City. This choice may be a differential for the sedan in relation to the competition, which includes the Chevrolet Onix Plus, Nissan Versa, Toyota Yaris Sedan, among others.
Expectations are high for the launch of the new Honda City, which promises to bring updates that will keep it competitive in the compact sedan segment in Brazil.
